Yeah you're right I haven't lived there so it could be different but, I do usually go and spend about 3 months in Rome every summer plus I did an internship there so I don't think it will change too much for me. It depends on what you love really. I live for fashion, the Azzurri, and Juve so Italy just feels right for me and I love the hustle and bustle of the Roma lifestyle.
