Shevchenko and Adriano are no braniners, others that deserve a mention are Henry, Gilardino and Eto'o.

In terms of track record I'd also include the Madrid pair of Raul and Ronaldo.

I'm glad that you mentioned Makaay. He's so often overlooked by many but he's definitely one of the best finishers in world football. He doesn't have Adriano's power, Eto'o's pace or Henry's flair but he's right up there with Shevchenko when it comes to finishing IMO.

My top five, in no particular order, are Henry, Shevchenko, Adriano, Makaay and Eto'o.
Why is Makaay there actually? Yes he is overlooked often and he is not a "superstar" but do you know why? Because in big names he is not so much as chokes as he does not show up at all. Its no coincidence that all Dutch team managers overlook him and do you remember a single positive contribution he did against Chelsea and Juve last season. Its not isolated, its something i have noticed throughout his career.

Sheva is king for me , then its Adriano and Henry or E'too

Anyone that has Shevchekghzchek... whatever his name spells, over Henry on his top 3, cannot be sane.

1. Henry
2. Adriano
3. RvN

Somewhere around 5-6: Ibra.

Fair point. He doesn't excel in the big games but he's still one of the most natural goalscorers in world football imo.

Yes they can. Shevchenko is probably the best goalscorer in world football, and he has scored goals in big matches on all fronts. His speed, skill on the ball, touch, and finshing ability is second to none IMO. Then we also have that little conundrum where Henry has gone missing in many make or break Champions League matches, from the Juventus home match in 2002 to the Chelsea matches in 2004 to the Bayern matches this past season. Shevchenko 99% of the time gets the job done, on all fronts, unlike Henry who only shows his true potential in EPL matches.

Ibra at number five or six in the world? Surely you don't mean the Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Juventus? Shevchenko, Henry, Adriano, Eto'o, Ronaldo, Makaay and Rooney have proven themselves to be better players than Zlatan and personally I rate the likes of Obafemi Martins and Fernando Torres higher.

Zlatan has had one good season with Juve and people are saying that he's one of the planet's best attackers :wallbang:

There is a quote button, and I suspect our computer will let you copy and paste the name. Of course, that would be too bright.

Shevchenko is a brilliant, rounded player, who's been consistantly successful in Italy and Europe, big matches and small. Henry is another awesome player, who I'll defend as being one of the top three without a shred of doubt, but to claim he's better than Shevchenko, when he is so often quiet for Arsenal and France in big games is a bit odd. I won't question your sanity though; enough wild claims like that and everyone else will do it for me. :D

Agreed. Shevchenko is the best goalscorer in the world.

And who are you to decide on the sanity of people and their opinions?

Eh. Henry being better than Shevchekhch...whatever, is a fact rather than an opinion. But I guess you are all entitled to your opinion. :)
