why does everyone on here have something against Becks? Some of you make it seem like he has no talent whatsoever...he's one of the best passers, free kick takers and play makers in the game. Sure he hasnt won anything (trophies), but that doesn't take away the fact taht he's talented...

im just curious to see as to why everyone has something against him..

I think the reason people have something against him is because his ability is often over-rated due to his celebrity status.

Now I must admit that he's not a bad player, and his game has improved since he went to Real Madrid.

The only problems are that he can't dribble, he can't head, and he can't kick with his left foot.

he's good player, no doubt. like gray sed, i think ppl just dont like his celebrity status (and god-like status in Asia ) that often clouds his actual status ON the pitch

whenever he tries to be clever round his own box,he concedes possesion quite easily and he's nearly scored more than a couple of own goals this season.

I'll tell you what I have against Beckham:

1. He's a media whore. They've made him the icon that he is.
2. He signed for Real, not Barca.
3. He's a pretty-boy.
4. He played for Mancherster United.
5. He plays for Real Madrid.
6. He's the most popular player in the world, despite not being close to the best.
7. He's the captain of his national team despite not being it's leader or best player.
8. He's always eager to criticise his team-mates, but not himself.
9. Everybody raves about his performances in the middle, but he's not as good there as he is on the wing, the only reason that he's there is he's not as good as Figo.
10. He was voted England's black man of the year. What the hell is that?

I admit he's talanted (freekicks, crosses, and workrate), but he's in no way complete and even futher away from the best.

Really? I've never actually seen him criticise his team-mates. If anything I think he sticks up for them no matter what. Maybe I just haven't seen that side of him ?

Yes, maybe (I haven't seen him play), no, and most definately not. Ljungberg is the weakest of Arsenal's attackers. He's a good winger, but not in Beckham's class.

whoevers been watching Reals matches in the Liga this season will defenitly notice how much better Becks is than Figo this season,
V.meyde is better than becks based on what?he's a better dribbler,and he uses his left better,but what else,Becks has got the best crosses around - he's got way more work-rate than V.Meyde.
Zambrotta:i cant deny he's better than becks but not as a right winger.
Ljunberg:if you said that at season 2001-2002 it would have been possible but not true,but in the meantime,Becks is way better than Ljunberg.
