I don't really like him, I'm with sally's opinion here, I'm also very much against the hype around him.
But I like Real Madrid, Becks is a Madrid player now and I think I have no reasons to have sth against him cos for me the team (Real Madrid) is above all else.

Just like Totti or Cassano, honestly I don't like them cos they're Roma players. But I wouldn't have any reasons to dislike them when they wears Azzurri jersey.

Alright...there was some magazine that was doing a "Britain's Black Man of the Year" award based upon reader's votes. Beckham was on the ballot and won...this was back when he had the corn-rows.

Whoever voted on that thing, and whoever put David Beckham on the list in the first place totally undermined the award for all the black Brits who genuinely did something award-worthy.

as for Gerard,Hargreaves and Ferdinand i dont think any of them even come close to beckham.especially now,Beckham is one of the best 15 players in the world now IMO.Owen is way of form now,and i wouldnt rate him as one of the best 5 strikers in the EPL this season.

but after all thats my opinion,it might be far from the truth.
