
Tonight’s clash between Juventus and Lazio will mark the 16[SUP]th[/SUP]occasion Luca Banti has stood as referee in a Juventus match. The previous 15 encounters have seen 11 wins for Juve, two draws and two defeats.
The 38-year-old has also officiated in two Coppa Italia ties involving the Bianconeri, both saw Juve emerge 3-0 winners. These two matches took place in January, a 3-0 quarter-final triumph against Roma last year and in 2009 against Catania.
The official from Livorno has twice overseen Conte’s side in the current campaign, in the 6-1 goal fest against Pescara and the recent 4-0 demolition of Udinese.
Banti will have the assistance of Marzaloni and Cariolato as his linesmen and the fourth official will be Giannoccaro.
