How would Ballack replace Nedved? They are not even the same type of players and the German is starting to get old and does not play leftwing or attacking midfield, as far as I'm concerned. Ballack would have been a great player to partner Emerson this year.

I'm just sad we are letting McCarty go. He is one of my favorite players all time and I do not know a better servant to Detroit than Darren. :frown:

I'd much rather use another option to be honest. The title of this thread makes me smile. Why? How can a 29 year old be a future replacement for a 33 year old? Its ridiculous. By the time Nedved retires, Ballack will only have 2 good years in him. Thats a very short term future, if you ask me.

Not a Juve material? Pleaaase, we only saw him for a couple of times last year, and I thought he did PERFECT in these 2 games, I saw last 2matches for Monaco, he's just great, and I hope he'll return back.
