Was a bit strange realizing that this club had only 2 veterans starting for the Azzurri while there was/is a big chance that many players will or could’ve played for this club.

Immobile - primavera player and never really got his chance, sold him for peanuts compared to his value and qualities now
Berardi - probably never wanted to come but seemed realistic for a few years. Did we seriously try tho?
Spina - this one is painful
Locatelli - negotiations going on and hopefully he will play for us next year
Dollar - almost.. but his salary demands were insane

And the Verratti case of course when 12m was considered to much. Others like Barella, Jorginho, Florenzi were never serious targets I think.

In previous decades we probably had 4 or 5 players starting for Italy. We definitely missed some opportunities with these guys.

Btw. Depending on what kinda "medium" size you are, you'll prolly think this one is rather tight, so watch out. Normally have S, but being a football shirt I ordered M, and it fits well. M from Adidas would be way too big, but Puma fits nicely.

strange to see an Italy team where the defense is the clear weak point of the team. as brilliant as Spina is in the final third, he's a liability defending, on the other side Florenzi seems off form and they don't have a competent alternative and in a tightly scheduled tournament only one of Bonucci-Chiellini should be a starter, you just know that even if they reach the final, these guys won't be able to run anymore.
