I think he will obviously settle with a formation and a solid twelve. Still he may have some fault but these players seem to be a step off. Especially the forwards. They can not play without the midfield pushing there buttons or pulling the strings. None of them baalotelli included and especially Ciro "the arrogant ass" Immobile can not take the game on their back and make something magical happen. If the midfield doesn't do it it's flat

why are we trying a brand new formation just 1 week before the WC? Didn't we have 2 years to do this? By now we should have the formation set and we should know how we want to play. They don't look like they know what to do, Bonucci arguing with Abate, then with Balotelli... too much confusion !

very true, our forwards need to be spoon fed by the midfield, that becomes a big burden and tiring for 90 min. Thats why he took Cassano, he's that link between the midfield and attack, exactly how Totti was. I would have brought Totti to Brazil, but that's a whole different discussion...

Agreed. As much of a nut job cassano is he provides that movement that is much needed for these guys

last June it was draw against Haiti now it's Luxembourg. given Prandelli's record in friendlies maybe he just uses them to wake up the players, really weird preparation for big tournaments.
And before Euro 2012, Italy got assraped by Russia (3-0)

Obviously Russia are much stronger opponent than Haiti or Luxembourg, but Italy under Prandelli have always been poor in friendly games. He seems to get them focused when the tournament starts though.

Italy and friendlies just don't mix. We can't predict how well or poorly Italy will do by looking at friendly results.

I think so, but to some degree. I know what your saying but it's indicative we can be susceptible to set pieces. Thankfully it's only a friendly yea it's a whatever match, hard to see if they're in good shape or poor, though i can say, they should've blown them out of the water.

Its Not like juve does good at friendlies.... Didn't we draw lose almost all friendlies last summer (especially the ones in the us)?
Still we won the League with 102 points

Russia is decent, this is Luxembourg. I understand that Italy doesn't usually perform in friendlies, but it's Luxembourg.
Italy had full control of the match and missed a couple of sitters. Then Prandelli subbed out more than half the squad and the team lost chemistry and control. It's still lame that they allowed them to tie up the match but I don't know I'm, I'm not that worried.

I don't want to be pessimistic, but i'm scared of an exclusion in group stage. As i saw England this year is trully good in every line. We must beat Engalnd or Uuruguay in our between match if we want to pass.
I think it's difficult to do that against England and our defense is unconnected to manage against Suarez and Cavani.
