dont see why people are STILL so worked up over that draw. Italy could lose to faroe islands in a friendly FFS.

has never meant shit about how they perform in tournaments when it matters and it wont this time either.

he's fucking with cassano's hair. :D

think i one of the italy players mentioned something about this before. They keep balotelli distracted at events like this so he behaves.
 So I guess Prandelli brought Cassano as the Pet toy so the pit bull can behave.

Yeah, that's the kind of striker we need.

That actually makes sense.

The guy couldn't figure out how to put on a pinnie ffs. That's only funny the first time.

Italy uses these friendlies as practice games, literally. They experiment, try things, and really could care less for the result. The tie yesterday bugged me as a fan, as all the friendly games do because I always want to see my team win but inside I know it means nothing. Now if Germany were to tie with Luxembourg I would say RED FLAG, what's wrong with them because they always go for the win no matter what.
Indeed:

...historically speaking, Italy have a track record of under-performing in pre-tournament warm-up games. They drew 2-2 with Haiti last summer and yet managed to finish third at the Confederations Cup.

They lost 3-0 to Russia before Euro 2012 but still reached the final.

Two decades ago this summer, they were beaten by fourth division side Pontedera. Come the final of USA 1994, however, Italy were in it.

yes, the only time I could remember them doing well in pre world cup friendlies was 2006 when they went to Amstredam and beat Holland 3-0 then played Germany in Florence and destroyed them 4-1

any word on whether they're showing the Fluminese friendly on TV Sunday? I'm intrigued to see what we do vs a team that knows how to play together.
