Rossi should be in the team when fit he can score out of no where he could be usefull in the later stages. Really hope that dungbag Montolivo doesn't start this summer. I also don't think Gilardino or Giach should be in the squad but I guess there aren't many other options Giovinco could of been uselfull but even if he went he most likely wouldn't get a game anyway.
Montolivo had a very good tournament at EURO 2012.
Particularly against Germany, where he set up Balotelli's second goal.

Zambrotta and Maldini, just average players
Just 2 world class fullbacks in 15 years out of thousands good and average players, but i said it before that even average players are overperfoming when they are playing for squadra azzurra, it's a mental boost, but what the point to call up guys like Abate when they are out of form, i don't get it, Abate played only 8 games (5 as starter, in other 3 came from the bench) in the 2nd part of the season, same story with De Sciglio, Astori has been shadow of himself, while De Silvestri and Darmian both had very good season and improved a lot, but he doesn't choose them even for friendlies as if he does not see their progress, on the other hand Palletta and Parolo were called up, which is good, they deserve it
Oh, and of course his foster-son the Olive tree will be in the squad even if he'll broke his both legs......

Criscito will probably be called up too. I think Prandelli is a bit like Conte in that it takes him a while to 'trust' players rather than just throw them straight in to the deep end and he also likes to stick to the same ones... but it's kind of the same for most coaches anyway.

So what will we see a 4-3-1-2 with montolivo behind the strikers?

-------------Buffon
Abate--Barzagli--Chiellini--Criscito
----Motta---Pirlo---Marchisio
-----------Montolivo
-------Balotelli--Immobile

I would like to see a 4-3-3

-------------Buffon
Abate--Barzagli--Chiellini--Criscito
----Motta----Pirlo---Marchisio
---Cerci-----Balotelli----Insigne

I like the 4/3/3 I would put Balotelli where you have Cerci and Rossi at CF. Could be a devastating counter attack. Also where do we put DeRossi? Thiago Motta has been great at PSG so but great enough to replace Daniele? With that said I doubt Prandelli is bold enough to go with a 4/3/3
