It seems pretty clear that there are players better suited to the 3-5-2 than one of Prandelli's back four variants. Bonucci is one of them, and Maggio is another. Those two would play in the typical Juve back five, probably with Balzaretti.

The lack of a really good authentic right back is a problem. I'm not sure how De Sciglio would do there but he's right footed and perhaps could make a side swap just as Zambrotta did. Italy have far more good options at left back, and maybe even Ogbonna could work his way into that role.

Maybe, but choices may be down to physical condition right now.

DDR is actually pretty good there in the same time of role Bonucci plays.
Personally I don't really like DDR in a back four, if he's going to play as a defender I think he's better in a back three.

I don't watch them enough to say for sure where he is better, but Milan have used him on both sides. I think he could become very versatile.

We're the number 1 enemy. You could see him playing for any of the other big Northern Clubs (Inter or Milan), but yeah no way they can afford him anyway. But never Juve. We represent everything they hate - their jealousy and their inferiority complex towards us knows no bounds.

His idol was Del Piero. :klin: He must have had some positive feelings toward us. Of course he'll say bs like never would have come here but when the actual opportunity presents itself I've seen many players and coaches change their way of thinking. Capello 6 months before coming here was saying how he could never coach Juventus.

Or he's just inviting you to quadruple his wages & then he'll come. Greedy little napoletano.

Didn't he specifically say recently that he would never join Juve even if you tripled his wages? Of course, that's just what he says now though.
Rub it in my face why don't you!

And didn't Ogbonna say something similar? :klin:

it's simple really: you wanna win? come to Juventus. Soon every player in Serie A will realize that, it will become a norm. I (fairly realistically) expect us to get Bayern-like monopoly soon.
