Insigne-Balotelli-El Shawarma is the future of the Azzurri.

Hopefully Insigne will have a stellar season with Napoli to get the call up for the World Cup.
I like this tridente as well. Been following Insigne in the U-21 Euro and he does a lot of good things. Don't judge him from the goal alone. He was absolutely fantastic in the game against Holland where the rest of his team mates completely goes missing.

It should be great. Both teams should have clinched qualification to the knockout by then. I expect brazil to dispatch mexico easily and italy should steamroll japan. So thy ahould be playing to avoid spain, lol.
I feel like the Japan game will end in a draw, don't know why. I hope not though.

Tahiti to beat Spain 1-0 in the 90th minute and send them spiraling downward :tuttosport:

Prandelli's tactics are all over the $#@!ing place.

why play Montolivo when you have Pirlo?

why play Marchisio completely out of position?
Playing Montolivo together with Pirlo and DeRossi is why the midfield works well. Having 3 creative players makes it pointless man-marking Pirlo.

As for Marchisio? Well the usual answer to just about every strange Italian selection is 'Workrate'. Our most talented players never work hard enough so the Manager takes the worker option.

3 deep-lying playmakers? Creative is a bit of a reach, DDR and Monto gave away the ball countless times, not to mention zero penetration into the box.

Cerci SES Diamanti Candreva even friggin' Giovinco all have good workrate.

:agree:
And Montolivo often takes reigns when Pirlo gets tired. The only Prandelli's mistake last night was not deploying one of Cerci or Diamanti from the start if SES is not ready yet. It would give us more width and directness against Mexican defenders.
