Indeed. Why does Kean look so heavy

At the 87 minute or so, Chiesa went to press like crazy and pressed all the way to the keeper while signaling for his teammates as well even pointing towards Spain's left back... and the keeper passed to the left back.

Kean who had only come on in the second half was pressing half assedly while Chiesa ran half the field.
What do you expect from the new balotelli I hope Allegri next gives him kick in the butt really disappointing attitude and no improvement in his hold up play or link up play

Azzurri will be back again. italy failed qualify for WP 2018 but won EURO 2020 two month ago. Mancini brought so much to this Italy squad with his experience and ability to win.

Definitely wouldn't call Kean a new Balotelli. He is not close to being as talented, or as undisciplined.

He does need a wake up call though. Needs to put as much effort as his teammates, and more effort if he is coming on as a sub.

I hardly think losing a Nations League game to Spain with 10 men needs a pep talk for the future. This would be a one goal game either way, just as the Euros game could have gone.

Obviously they were going to lose at some point so it might as well be in a glorified friendly, but a normal boring friendly would have been better, at least there is a trophy of sorts on the line for this. I'd imagine any of the teams would be pleased to win it, especially Belgium.

No shame in losing against Spain in a what is tantamount to a glorified friendly anyway. It was inevitable that Italy would have to lose at some point, so better now than in a major tournament.

Bumucci the retard probably cost Italy this game - he should've known better than to receive a needless yellow and then allow a conniving cunt like Busquets to exaggerate the contact to have him sent off (I hope the Fagca Faggot suffers a career ending injury right before the world cup, someone lunging in with a two footed challenge to take out both his knees at he same time).

Anyway, the next 10+ months are going to be extremely important for Mancini to introduce some new elements into the team.
Give zaniolo and pellegrini more chances. Zaniolo can be a false 9 as he is big guy and have the ability to keep the ball to make space and time for others to score.

Italy ARE a real contender for the worldcup. They just won the euros. We underrate them now because they lost a glorified friendly?
I did chuckle at that comment. Just won the Euros, and Euro teams have won the last 4 World Cups.

Obviously the general point that it would be better to have a world class striker is valid, but you can find ways around it, as they've already shown.

France won the World Cup in 1998 with Stephane fricking Guivarc'h up front.

Immobile gets lots of crap but at least his play is useful for the team. Better option than Kean. Raspadori could be the answer but he is a bit too early, his time to shine will be after imo. Scammaca, or any of the Serie B strikers aren't up to it yet.

Unless its Chiesa as CF, Immobile remains the best choice for the WC.

The player that needs to start imo is Calabria at RB. Pellegrini, Locatelli, Zaniolo must also be all in close contention as form demands.

Them too but they should've done much better against Busquets, Koke and that kid. Instead, it was the other way around.
Yes but we saw this script playout in the euros as well. Italy played well and created enough the whole game, 11v11 and 10v11. Even if Bastoni didn't clear that (mistakes happen), had Bonucci not been so unnecessarily sent off, I'm pretty confident the game would have gone our way. Chiesa, Insigne, and Bernardeschi had all gone very close at that point.

Spain didn't create much from the middle, most chances came from Oyarzabal dominating Di Lorenzo, who played his worst game for the azzurri last night.
