vice presidents generally do fuck all, doesn't mean that he wouldn't if given the power. what exactly has tavecchio done to deserve his role? he was president of the fucking amateur league what did he do? and by the sounds of it his ideas for change don't seem at all encouraging not to mention his medieval outlook to issues not forgetting his corruption charges in the 90s. Italy needs someone young with fresh ideas, not senile old farts with criminal records.

Tavecchio (aka The Old Fart) is losing some of his "supporters": also Fiorentina, Sassuolo, Samp and Brescia are joining Juve and Roma against him, along with some teams from minor leagues, but he still has something like 70-80%. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised to see this old fuck reigning in italian football and let it slide slowly in the shit.. It's the perfect representation of the shit that some "presidents" in italian football. FIFA has requested informations and further investigations about him after his racist comment, let alone is thay find out his judicial issues  Let's hope that at least them will/can oppose to this shit.

I really dunt know what he did for the amateur league as he is a nobody before this election compared to Albertini. Im with Albertini just because he is young and represents a change, but his track record so far is pretty worrying. To just say a vice president generally doesn't do anything is completely washing off his hands.

But even if Tavecchio does comes out winning the election, I do hope the change will be there. Italian football is currently at its lowest ebb.

Its true though vice presidents actually dont do anything. How many vice presidents do you know in the political world have ever done anything? They have no powers. They are just there on the sidelines hoping the president drops dead

Renzo Ulivieri has labelled Carlo Tavecchio as inadequate to serve as the next President of the Italian Football Federation.

Tavecchio has come under fire for racist remarks made recently, whilst sexist comments have since also been attributed to him.

However, the 71-year-old is seen in the papers today as still maintaining a healthy majority over Demetrio Albertini.

It’s a situation that has President of the Association of Coaches less than impressed.

“He has already tried to revive the women’s game, and the proposal was 'undress and play’,” Ulivieri has claimed at a Press conference today.

“Women’s football today is slowly dying when in all other countries, including Palestine, it is in development.

“To use his words at an assembly is serious, and for me it shows the inadequacy of his candidacy. His being inadequate is not his fault, he is simply not suited to that role.

“Tavecchio has only the eye of entrepreneurship. I’d also be inadequate, because I only have the one eye, which is on the sport.

“Albertini? He comes from football and has two eyes, because he has also worked in the Federation.”

Arrigo Sacchi has left his role as technical coordinator of youth at international level with Italy, citing struggles in dealing with stress.

The former Milan Coach ends a four-year association with the Italian Football Federation, which had seen him responsible for development of youth players at international level from Under-16s to Under-21s.

“With regret a leave a job that I care greatly for, but I have a terrible adversary, that I was able to govern for 22-23 years, but that in the end is winning, and that is stress,” Sacchi has told reporters today at a Press conference.

“I informed the FIGC a year ago that I would be leaving at the end of my mandate. I have not been a good father, I have neglected my daughter, and I do not want to do the same with her granddaughter who was born recently.

“And then, I am no longer a young man, my recovery is much slower.

“We worked a lot during these four years, trying to give these guys a mindset and an international dimension, increasing the number of games by 30-35 per cent.

“In a nation that does not believe in young people we have to thank the Federation for its efforts.”

Sacchi’s confirmation was preceded by FIGC director general Antonello Valentini’s words.

“We are here because Arrigo’s contract expires tomorrow. For us he was crucial in helping us to revive the national youth system.

“He has decided to leave his post at the end of his mandate, despite our insistence. Hopefully in the future he will reconsider.”

So we need a new president, a new NT coach and a new technical director for the youth

Moggi Libero: "Why Tavecchio is better than Albertini"

Luciano Moggi Free on speaks of Tavecchio and Albertini.
Let's be honest, this fuss for the race for the presidency of the FIGC just did not expect it. Especially since there are only two candidates, Carlo Tavecchio and Demetrio Albertini: the first president of the Amateur League since 1999; the other, since 2007 (too long) to oversee the technical area Federal. From a first comparison between the two clearly emerges the figure of Tavecchio, who took the field Dilettantisco in poor condition, has turned into a positive so much so that now the flagship of the Federation.
Regarding Albertini, we can say I've shined above all for his silence, passed through two eliminations in the first round of the 2010 World Cup and 2014 without it being heard her voice (especially before but also after the races), and in aid of Prandelli's team. Speak now because a presidential candidate; he also stated that, after the World Cup which had arrived from vice president resigned, he changed the air but did not do it, maybe "encouraged" by the results obtained from what was once the National trio fir-Albertini-Prandelli under the supervision the General Manager Antonello Valentini.
Four people in charge, who on the one hand to another those guilty of having dragged our football at a historic low. Steps to Valentini, who can make the most of the fan and is not to blame if Spruce promoted him, with his foresight, General Manager; But you can not pass on to the behavior of the "trio joy" Fir-Prandelli- Albertini, who has managed to turn picnic in the Brazilian away. The only positive note is that we got rid of, and it was now, Fir and Prandelli: difficult, however, to understand how Albertini had the courage to run for president and, again, with what courage can be supported by those who profess to love the football.
Internships are made to understand the quality of the subject, Albertini has failed, is to reject moreover because his apprenticeship, begun in 2007, has covered the whole period of our football devastated. We talk, indeed Sparla of Tavecchio, his way of exposing the program, its unfortunate joke on immigrants (who wanted to be just a joke), for which he also apologized. It calls for the investigation of FIFA for up to by those who, back in 2006, Blatter criticized own for not wanting to reward our National Champion of the World. No one to say that Tavecchio hit actually the center of the target: rightly said one day that Fabio Capello ilnostro league is "not workout," too many foreigners do not measure up.
Tavecchio reiterated this concept, perhaps accentuating the exposure programmatic unhappy with the joke, probably best known for synthesizing the importance of this point for the resumption of our football. If in fact the English Premier foreigners can only access if they did certain games in the national's own country, because - he says Tavecchio-, do not do it in Italy? It would certainly even more quality and credibility to our league. If someone were to argue that in Germany the entrance to foreigners is free and they have become world champions, then it should be dragged in the differing quality of our own leaders than in Germany; Merkel in case we might say, "you are still not able to walk alone." If it is true, and it is true that even in youth abound even non-EU foreigners, - it is just what it says Tavecchio- eliminate as much as possible this fashion and give more chance to emerge in our young people, punishing those companies that ration for a young foreigner arriving even to look for work with the head of the family residence on. These are the program guidelines set out by Tavecchio that has already had the opportunity to drill with some success in the Amateur sector, it is therefore not an experiment because of people to do experiments in FIGC there are already too many and we do not feel absolutely needed.

Normal human would think that is wise to know all facts from all parties before you judge about something u don't have inside knowledge about.
wait and you do?

how does that even disguise the fact that tavecchio has embarrassed himself on more than one occassion with offensive outbursts with his criminal record of tax evasion. don't need inside knowledge for that, because these are the cold hard facts!

What's more ridicolous is that in a normal nation he would have been ostracized in Italy majority of still support him. God Sake.
Let's better say that Presidents of the various clubs support him, especially the infulential ones like Galliani, Lotito, Preziosi, Pulvirenti... Probably for some political reason we don't know... For what I could see, in social and media italians are totally hating on him after these statements...
