I noticed it as well, but I put it down to him missing three of his favourite attackers (who else is there apart from older guys like Di Natale and Miccoli?).

Imagine Ranocchia and Bonucci playing at the same time.
They were great at Bari, they even played well for the Azzurri in couple of friendlies.

Even suprise call up for El Sharaawy, like Borini got, and I would stop being stubborn and call up Di Natale. I mean, whats the fucking point with having 4 goalies? And Pazzini done fuck all this season.

I was really hoping for il faraone deep down, get him all the experience while he's still 19.

Prandelli said that he'll call up players that plays consistently first team football. There's the difference between El Sharaawy and Borini. The latter is getting more playing time.

Buffon
Maggio - Barzagli - Chiellini - Criscito
De Rossi - Pirlo - Marchisio
Montolivo
Giovinco Matri

That's what should be played. Borini is too young to start, Pazzini is playing like Cack. Giovinco + Matri are performing well and deserve to start.

Prandelli specifically said he'll be playing a trequartista and I believe it'll be Montolivo.

I wonder why Pepe didn't get called up?
