Anybody else see the report of Liverpool looking to offload Lazar Markovic at a huge loss? They are reportedly looking to sell him for 9-12m.

I immediately thought what a great fit and bargain for our LW needs in the 4-3-3.

Get on that, Marotta. Loan + obligation to buy :)
Why on earth would you want to play with wingers? So Dybala can be benched, or so he can be forced to be a winger and waste most of his talents?

We're set for this season IMHO. Maybe some oportunity signings & some promising youngster ie: mandragora (cool name)/sensi, but more new faces could bring unstability.

Sensi - Less cool name... :D

Marrotta on Gundogan

"Why would we go after Gundogan if we already have Marchisio?" Marotta was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.

"We have a number of solutions in that area of the pitch, but Gundogan is not one of the names we have been discussing. Others have been linking him with Juventus.

"Plus I believe Dortmund do not want to sell him anyway."

Case closed imo.
Case re-opened

I havent seen Gundogan this season. But i did see alot of him before his injury. One of the worlds best cm's, and a rare player that significantly improves the performance of his surrounding players.
Huge fan.
When we were linked, i was told he was back to his former self. a few members who watch the bundesliga that i asked confirmed it. Our Nostradamus 80-90% agrees with it. Beeing a graduate without a job, plenty of time to go trough german or english reports of him this season. Keep reading the same thing over and over. Aubameyang carries the attack. Reus started very poor, but has improved linearly. Gundogan and Mhikaryatan are carrying the team, Gundogan beeing the key player in the center, various reports about how he's back to his good form and "on his way to returning to his potential" etc etc

Now i held Gundogan in very high esteem back then. It is known he wants to move on from dortmund, but to a bigger team. They barely got him extended. Dortmund is going to fully block a january move, because they know that if he continues on this form, he'll increase his interest significantly. Its simply not as easy for his type of cm.

Now United and Liverpool are allready on him. EPL money. When taking a simple look at both teams, we see a collosal need for his type of player. The combined intelligence of both team's central midfield, is 3 potato.
Van Gaal and Klopp are both tactically reknown coaches, who's vision makes them highly value intelligent uplifting players, let alone multi talented as this.

Liverpool are a bunch of pathetic losers. But Klopp is a huge factor, and money is plenty. United is a CL team that can trow whatever wages at him. And whatever fee.

"frigging liverpool". in 13-14 they were ahead of us, in 14-15 we obviously shot past, and with the new EPL deal they'll have no issue outspending us for his signature.

Only chance to steal him from the competition, is getting him in january. However, its impossible that dortmund makes such collosal blunder
We could set it for the summer though...
I`d definitely welcome him - he would be a very good signing!

Gundogan and Isco and our mid is complete!

We should be looking for a star forward though... This Maresille guy caught my eye (although I could be very wrong about him as I just saw his youtube videos)

Not sure how you seeing him play pre-injury automatically makes him the best Dortmund player this season. I don't get the correlation. And it's false like others pointed out. Gundogan being good pre-injury and doing well this season aren't exactly news either. The people who're disagreeing with you are fully aware of both facts.

Liverpool might be able to outspend us, but that doesn't mean they have more pull than us. It's ridiculous to think so. It's also up to Gundogan, and we're a better, more competitive team. There's decent chance of 'Pool not even playing in the CL next season.

There's zero chance of us getting Gundogan in January, lol. Dortmund need him now. They aren't gonna sell him in mid-season. It'll be hard to sign him afterwards (but not impossible), but it's impossible to sign him in January. You have it in reverse.

Liverpool have no hope to become a steady CL team in forseeable future, failed at it for years, they might get the off year where they qualify, but they cant do it consistently. So they cant compete with top teams for players, regardless of how much they offer.

Exactamo. Initially thought this might be that off year because Chelsea sucked but even that looks very unlikely.

It doesnt automatically make him the best dortmund player, he wasent back then either. That team was carried by several players, among them Gundogan.
Some people here "point it out" that he isnt back to that form, others say he is. Did they watch him ? Did we watch him ? No, most didnt. Nostradamus for example is, probably IgorTudor. Both disagree with each other.
What do analysts in german media or english general media say ? majority praises his return to form, the keyplayer in the midfield of the current Dortmund, of the team with aubameyang.
People here who disagree with me, arent people who watch dortmund. They saw as little as me, but they didnt bother to look up reports.
You tend to formulate educated opinions. If you disagree with what i've read in german and english covering press, feel free to share on what basis you disagree with those that see all his games and comment on them.

Can i ask from wich country you originate ? Because for some reason unknown to me, you seemb to significalty underestimate the pull of the EPL. Belgium currently has a bunch of disgustingly overrated "stars", and their incredible desire for the premier league is a nice example. Every player wants to go to barcelona and madrid. if they cant, they'll go to the EPL, wich to far to many is "the best league in the world".
Germans and the Bundesliga looks down on serie a. They do see the EPL as a big league, a bigger league.

Liverpool simply has more pull because they got CL ambitions, and Jurgen Klopp. One could compare it with benitez' Liverpool, who had a great pull on spanish players, altho they were alot better then today back then.
I agree with you, that liverpool is a ragged bunch of losers, far less competitive then juventus. Because we arent indoctrinated with this "great EPL" bullshit.

Seems we agree about January. I mentionned it cause it would beat the competition who wont make the move now. But Dortmund offcourse isnt going to cripple their team and allow a keyplayer to leave for less then they'd have in the summer.
The competition makes it impossible to sign him afterwards.

Gundogan, Marchisio, Pogba in the hands of an tactically astute coach would be a horrible nightmare to play against. I make myself no illusions, this will only happen in my next FIFA or PES game.

I haven't paid any attention to this Gundogan rumour because I don't see what we'd do with him. I don't think him and Marchisio could play in the same midfield.

Klopp is a tactical master. And the EPL has a truckload of braindead coaches to exploit.

Neville's analyse starts at 7.22

Its such a massive shame Gary went to coaching, because his analyse on Monday Night Football was always world class

:boh:

maybe we'll find a suitor for Hernanes? :boh:
That would be perfect. I really like Lemina and I hope we keep him, he can play as B2B and as regista. I can see why we would want Soriano tbh, he's good but it makes our midfield a bit overcrowded anyway.

I guess we'd get him to play 4312 and that would be fine :D

Saponara - I'm not convinced at all.

Last season it seemed that the consensus was that 4312 was the only way forward, now it seems everyone is more than pleased to continue with 352
