no they are not
With the argument ATM - they are. They have bigger resources and much more star players than us.

I don't know how to say it other than this:

Juventus is one of the few powerhouses in Europe. Deal with it... :boss:

But we are poor compared to the strongest big teams.

Absolutely true, but I've also always conceded that they're unquestionably better right now, part of the three tier one clubs with Real & Barca for for the past 3-5 years :D

What's your argument for Bayern being bigger than Juve historically?
won more CL's and dominated domestically more than us, i can also argue their list of legendary players is slightly better than ours.

I'd say Chelsea and Juve are both tier two clubs right now, behind the three dominant ones. Maybe slightly ahead of us, but not by much.

they are richer, it doesnt mean they are bigger, this is the nuance here.

Bayern on the other hand is bigger, be it resources or history

Dominated more domestically? The German leagues have historically been clearly weaker than their Italian counterparts, and even so Juve has more league titles. Yes they dominated more domestically, but mostly because they lack any real long-term rival as we have with the Milanese clubs. There are some clubs such as Dortmund, Schalke or Gladbach who had one or two strong eras, but they're more comparable to the Roman clubs in terms of stature and historical success.

In Europe, our abysmal track record in finals does give them the edge, but just looking at CL titles does distort the picture as the trophy was much less important back in the day, while the UEFA cup (or equivalent) was regarded much higher than it is now. All in all I'd say that our domestic success is actually more impressive than Bayern's, while in Europe they have the advantage, balancing it out.

As for legendary players, I don't agree. If you look at Ballon d'Or wins, or similar awards for example, Juve leads comfortably.

2 to our 3, and even if you ignore the 'legends' part would you take paolo rossi ahead of muller?

disagree
I'm not in a position to say this because i have barely watched apart from youtube videos and reading articles about them

But Juventus have had great great players play for them.Absolute legends of the game.

Platini,Baggio and Zidane alone would be in the all time top 20 or at worst top 50 list of many people who've followed this sport closely.

legendary players! also platini won 3, and frickin paolo rossi won 1! that shit is nonsense

You just counterpointed a relatively "minor" Juve legend with the second biggest Bayern one :p

Platini against Müller seems more like it.
coz he didnt win a ballon d;or

coz he didnt win a ballon d;or
Still, Platini, Baggio, Zidane, Zoff, Buffon, Scirea,...can hold their own against Müller, Beckenbauer, Maier, Kahn & Co.

And why not? We are a record breaking winner of Serie A, a competition that for many years was much stronger than the Bundesliga. Even now Serie A is more competitive than the Bundesliga.

Juventus, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern and Ajax are the legendary european teams from a historic point. I feel it's disrespectful to call Juventus a lesser club than Bayern due to history and nowadays situation.
Real Madrid are the undisputed Kings of European football. Milan amassed all those trophies and CL titles over a 20 year period, mainly after Berlusca took over.

Liverpool are a prime example of a traditional powerhouse who have fallen on some very hard times indeed. The same applies to Ajax.

Bayern have always been a dominant force in European football. The 3 current powerhouses of European football are Barca, Real Madrid, and Bayern. Everyone else is a notch or two below.

We are the most successful Italian team and a traditional great, but our record in the CL is abysmal. 6 final losses, fucking 6!!! No one shares that dubious distinction with us. Until we win another 2-3 CL trophies we can't be considered at the same level as a Bayern, Barca, or Real Madrid. These are the facts.

Wouldn't be too sure about that.

Up until 2006 I'd argue Juve had the richer history, since then it has even out.
 Bayern had won 4 CL titles by 2006. We were and still are on 2. I don't know how having half the number of CL crowns makes you have the richer history.

:shifty:

He said we were on an even standing before 2006.

Also its a fact that we were bigger than Bayern internationally at that point.
