Vidal wanted to leave,and 6,7mln is the reason. Not Marotta fault at all.

I said this yesterday and I was told to stop posting crap.... I guess now it's starting to sink in for some of you that losing players like Pirlo, Tevez and Vidal is impossible to replace, not only for their quality but also their experience and what they bring on and off the field. This transfer market has been an absolute DISASTER! I had high hopes that after getting to the CL final and the fact the final this year is in Milan they would build on what they had but instead they are tearing it all down.

In short term that won't help us significantly.
I understand the project. In theory, getting lots of the best young players in the world (Morata, Pogba, Dybala, Berardi, a young AM like Isco/Oscar/Goetze, etc) is a formula for future success. Yeah, you sacrifice a year, two or three until these players hit the mid 20's and (hopefully) develop into world's best players, but later you have a team that can rule Europe for half a decade.
But in our case I'm pessimistic. We're not yet a club that is financially powerful enough to keep these players once they turn into superstars. That's why I question the project and that's why I'm skeptical that this complete transformation will eventually result with something even better than the current team.
