who is better?

yaya? past it
schweini? only other option but probably not. vidal does much more.
Have you seen the kind of form Yaya is in this season ? He's lazy defensively but he's been dominating the PL this year.

Right now, ofcourse he is the best, but there are a lot of quality midfielders vying for that position ,that the difference isnt really much.

Also being 'complete' doesnt always necessarily mean the best.

Mentality? Truth? Nope.

Guys, we all love Arturo but if he really said that than he was arrogant, no doubt about it. He may be annoyed with FifPro World XI, but still players shouldn't make that kind of comments, that's up to other players, managers, fans. I am dissapointed and I hope he will left that kind of interviews to Bendtner.

Yaya is great but every time I watch City on sky, the there's always somebody at half time and full time going over videos and pointing out how much of a liability he is in defence.

Schweinsteiger is just a name at this point, he's no Vidal. That's for sure.

Woah. Shocking statement really.mand a tad bit immature. Vidal better not develop such a mentality, coz it'll begin to affect his game on the pitch not to mention his relations with teammates if he begins to believe his stardom.

It's one thing to believe you're one of the best but completely and another to state it on record. One of the best, sure. But the best? Certainly debatable.

He should retract his statement or clear the confusion. Conte should reprimand him IMO.

Also, i'm glad he's saying something.

It's either that or say nothing and pretend these past it players are better than you

You don't think top players have egos? I'd be worried if Vidal wasn't confident in his own abilities.

Team>>>>>>>insert any player

That statement if true is absolutely shocking and he needs to make some explanation. If someone after being reprimanded for unprofessional behavior wants to leave the club, so be it. But I don't believe Vidal is of that sort.

If he was playing for another club and made these same comments ,people would be lamenting at it right now.

Of course the team is bigger than any player

But, funnily enough. The team aren't affected one bit by this statement. Punishing your player for not having an underdog mentality is a great way to build a team of actual underdogs.

There's a fine line between confidence and over-confidence/arrogance. Conte probably knows he's the best coach in Italy, but he'll never come out and say it. That's because the humility keeps him grounded. Pirlo. Del Piero. Even Totti for that matter. Legends of the game, pretty great in their time. Would they say shit like this? Vidal has achieved nothing in his career to make a statement like that. He is definitely right up there with the best, but only humility can help him achieve greatness.

If he gets pissed off on being asked to clarify the situation, then he's going to have an issue growing as a player. We don't need to make a big deal about this and blow it out of proportion but yes, an attitude like that needs to be nipped in the bud.

Totti said worse, He's openly stated that if he had gone to Madrid he would have won Ballon d'ors.

Sure, some people are humble. Some are confident. If the end result is that they can back up their claims then that's fine by me.

You say we don't need to blow this out of proportion, well then the best thing to do would be absolutely nothing.

If we ask Vidal to retract his statement. What kind of message does that send to him? That we don't think he's as good as he does, or that we're a club with a provincial underdog attitude

Meanwhile, managers of other star players constantly big them up in the media. It sure as hell hasn't stopped Messi, Ronaldo, Ibra & pretty much every Bayern player from carrying on as they do. There is no one correct way of doing thing. And personally i'll be pissed if we try to destroy the confidence of our best player. Because of some sort of weird inferiority complex at the club.

:touched:  Great players think alike
I'd much rather prefer players keep their feet firmly on the ground and be humble no matter how good they are.I know Ibra has a cult following with his comments, but sometimes he's paid the price for it.

He's said so many times that he's the best but does he have a CL to show in his trophy case ?

I am not making a big issue out of this but i just hope Vidal shows more humility in the future. Its not really necessary.

I don't see what all the fuss is about. He's just stating the fact. As a complete midfielder who does it all to perfection, he's currently the best. It's not arrogance, just the cold hard fact :p. Deal with it!
