Inler is not a bad player, Vidal is just something special.

Nobody except Barca.

La liga without competition due to madrids internal struggles ?

Messi 2012/13
La Liga: 28 starts, 4 sub performances, 46 goals, 12 assists
CL: 9 starts, 2 sub, 8 goals, 2 assists
Spanish Cup: 5 games, 4 goals
Spanish Supercup: 2 games, 2 goals
Argentina friendlies: 4 games, 7 goals
Argentina qualifiers: 11 games, 8 goals, 4 assists
Season: 59 starts, 6 sub, 75 goals, 18 assists

as long as he's putting up numbers like this, he'll be considered among the very best, whether Barca win CL every year or not

True but I don't think he could ever be considered the greatest ever unless he tests himself in another league. Probably the premier league is the only other place he could go.

I think it's more about him performing for the national team and winning trophies with them.

I would say he needs some success with NT on a big stage to be considered greatest ever. But right now he isn't far imo. He won every trophy with Barcelona multiple times and in the process was their best player. His goalscoring record is unbelievable.
