We finally sign a famous, prolific striker and people are unsatisfied with the wages they're getting? How would you react if we got someone slightly better than Llorente and ended up paying almost twice the wage? I see people calling for that all the time.

It's normal, considering he's bosman and he's a good player.

The thing with 'he hasn't played for a year' the others mention is not true. He gets 20-30 minutes per game.
Free agents with considerable transfer value tend to get larger wages.
I'm well aware of that. I haven't started following football last week. It's been a couple of months now :D

But I personally (key word here) feel it's too steep, compared to how our team is currently structured.

Since I'm not one of the people calling for that, ever, I'm free to react this way

Infact Bilbao offered him 5m in wages and he refused it.Now if suppose we hadnt tied him down with this good wages he'd be receiving, maybe he would've stalled the negotiations and invited some other clubs like Madrid,Bayern etc to make an offer for him who would've surely offered higher wages.

3.5m is what we offered him last summer when he had 1 year running on his contract. It surely had to be higher than this once he became a bosman. If you were well aware of the fact that bosmans work this way you shouldnt even be complaining in the first place.(Maybe not complaining but you still have problems over him getting that wage).

We had to make sure we secure him thereby fending off interest from other top clubs, hence the high wages. In short.

In total he'd be costing us only around 22m.(0m transfer fee + wages of 4.5m *4 years).Very reasonable if you ask me.Especially considering he would've costed much higher last summer when you take transfer fee into account.

Llorente 4.5? Seriously?
I thought it was going to be a bit lower than that as a basic wage, but going up to that sort of level with potential bonuses.

Romeo said PSG, City and Bayern want him.

He also said PSG have offered him 6 million per season and his agent is pushing to get the move.

Fuck.
And offers from Real and Bayern: http://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Squad...ivo-due-offerte-real-bayern-92688996094.shtml

PANIC!

Actually, I don't see any particular reason for Juve to be concerned, provided they are willing to be fair and move Vidal pretty high up the Juve pay-scale.

Every chance these are just standard rumours that are brought out around contract negotiation time.

How many times have Juve suddenly been linked to a player for no apparent reason only for them to sign a new contract with their club within a fortnight?

Guy didn't play football for a season. It will be like bringing him back from retirement. Huge gamble.
So we should pay him EU1M in wages because he has barely played this season?
