i can see the tremors of the Boko Vidal Caliphate are already being felt, and some people trying to justify selling Vidal for that price lol, none of the people who are mad about this sale care about this sale tbh, tho we have really weakened ourselves massively (its a shame if you still think we'll just walk the league), the message being sent if we sell Vidal will even push more stars to ask to leave (assuming Vidal asked to leave) freaking. Robben is 30 and Bayern keep fending off buyers because its the message u send to the dressing room and the potential buyers that counts, I mean u less Bayern assured us we are getting Goetze or Marotta really has some top star lined up we have really fucked up no matter how some of you try hard to justify this, and from how things are seeming its like we are now even workig to get a quality AM  from Goetze, Oscar. Draxler which all seems currently to be a big NO told to our face and now we sre bidding for Felipe Anderson in desperation like Lotito would rather not sell him for 2m to Fulham than see him come to us, please unless we get a top star, you cannot justify selling the best b2b CM in the world for 35m (you can name all his issues as much as you like, greater stars have done worse), I understand trying to be positive but please don't justify Beppe if he doesn 't bring in a top replacement.

It's always been on a knife edge, some positive or negative news either way flips it to either full fapfest or full spastic.
What's your take on this? Haven't seen much from you on the matter.

Whos to say Marotta isnt in negotiations with Bayern for him right now?
Possible, given that he is in Munich and we are seeing a lot about negotiations in the press.

I'd prefer he got Benatia.

Chiellini-Bonucci-Benatia

:tuttosport:

Wasnt it the rumour Vidal for Benatia a couple weeks ago anyway ?
This is ridiculous that we swap ONE of our best MD for a defender when rugani is fully owned by Juve in order to if we wanted buy a defender most likely Vrsjalico was our first target he was the most likely one than Benatia

Benatia said if Pep isn't going to use him in squad he's going to leave and few days after that he said he's going to stay at bayern.

Pretty shocked tbh. I'm mostly worried about what we lose as a dynamic from CM. Vidal is the sort of player who creates issues for the other team even when he isn't playing well, especially on a psychological level.

I have to admit, I really didn't like many of his performances last season. Even by the end of the season when he was back to beasting on the defensive side of his game you can see he just lacks something with the ball at his feet, and a yard of speed seems to have gone. He runs like he has just shit himself, I'm convinced he still needs a lot of time to get to his physical peak in terms of his movement.

We lose prestige by selling him, but really I'm not hugely bothered by all that. Much depends who we bring in. When we brought him in he was nobody in terms of image, yet instantly made an impact.

In terms of the fee his market value was questioned some weeks ago and I'm pretty sure I said he was worth about €40m-€45m now, with €60m-€70m at his peak (I'd love to search for this but the function is broken), so I'm not really going to get too worked up about selling for €37m + €3m or whatever variation it is up to €40m, especially if non-sporting factors have indeed come into play.

I'll simply miss him as a player, the Vidal at his peak, and also the player who gave everything for this shirt even when he was tired or struggling.

Baggio its happening, what do u think of Götze for Vidal?
Some saying it's like for like, 40m. Would definitely go some way to repairing the damage caused by the loss of Vidal, but more importantly, it kind of makes a statement in its own right, that Juve have the ambition they proclaim to have, to hang with the big boys in Europe. This story also, probably, will get better or less painful as more and more is revealed about the conditions of the Vidal sale - which for now still seem like a break in relations between player and club for a whatever reasons. I don't want to get too excited over this talk because I know how utterly gutted I'll be if we end up with Draxler.

If this happens though, some parts tears, some parts jizz - salty times. :D

:D it will also suggest we think we needed to start a rejuvenation and almost like a new era of the squad

As much as I love Vidal, make no mistake. If we sell Vidal and replace him with Götze, it is an upgrade for our formation and team.

Vidal is a beast, nearly a legend. But Götze at AM compared to Vidal there last season. No comparison.

I wish we sold Pogba instead. In fact I would've sold Pogba a million times over instead of Vidal.
I'm glad we didn't. Pogs quite obviously has higher ceiling than Vidal and doesn't have drinking issues. At least we won't have to be in fear of losing 100m worth of asset in a car crash.

Are you happy with the other CM options being Khedira, Asamoah, Sturaro, Pereyra and Padoin?

Pretty sure Vidal would feature as AM this season as I highly doubt we'd bench Khedira. Midfield with Pogba, Vidal, Khedira and Marchisio would severely lack creativity. Better to bring natural AM in that case. If that was the strategy and we close in on player like Goetze I'd be more than pleased.
