I think 45 mil is a fair price for a CM like Vidal. He does not possess flair or score a lot hence his price can not be roof high. He just got his peak with Chile and this is the most suitable time to sell. Of course the higher price the better. With Sturaro, Khedira, Pereya i dont think replacing him is that hard, sure i will miss his grinta but i am looking forward to a creative AM who can unlock defense.

fact is Vidal is worth a lot more, so even if we say have 45 million from the total sale from Vidal and Ogbonna, we could have got a lot more if we sold Vidal for a price that he's worth. 45 million could have easily become around 70 million

I'm not saying losing Vidal will weaken us but Vidal was a huge influence in this team and honestly it hurts. Idont see how ucan justify it unless Vidal wanted out. I just hope that we used the money wisely and actually spend it on talent that will improve this squad.

Missed that boat so now we have a great player struggling to find his top form consistently and a knee we aren't sure will hold. 28 years old and 2 years left. If we tried selling next summer, even if he had good form, we wouldn't get close to 40m. We obviously wouldn't let him go for free.

Who the hell knows what the club is thinking. We will probably find out soon enough if its legit or a rumor.
