Dat meltdown

If we invest the money wisely, which I think we will, we'll be fine

I have loved watching Vidal give his all for us every time he's out on the pitch but we were always going to have a squad shake up at some point.

The way I see it, if we lose Vidal for big money and bring in a world class talent at AM then we may end up benefiting. Hell there's nothing to suggest we wouldn't have ended up lining Vidal up as a CAM this season too because of our new system and plethora of midfielders.

I'd rather we keep him, but I trust our mgmt to do well with this influx of cash. However, with our 2 old class players in Tevez and Pirlo leaving, and Vidal potentially going we MUST get some stability back from here on in. Pogba simply can not be allowed to leave next Summer unless the offer is a game changing record breaker. And we better have World class players lined up as legitimate targets too.
Oscar is not a world class AM to be honest, and I would imagine he is the most likely purchase as a result of this transaction, and will be for no less than 35-40m which he is not worth. Fuck I can't believe this move is happening. If we had to sell one, it had to be Pogba. Not Vidal. That guy is everything this team has epitomised in his time here. It's like selling the spirit of the team. Fuck. I'm angry.

I agree on all you said.

Still it would be weird for him to ask for an exit now.

Maybe money, maybe lack of drive to continue in juve for anther scudetto... who knows.

What i now, is that even when I have high hopes in sturaro, and when I think khedira can do a good job.... those 2 are no vidal, and vidal for us is valued way more than 45 mils, even when thats most likely his actual price.

Vidal is a force for us.

I was prepared and understood Pirlo and tevez departures, but losing Vidal out of the blue would be like a kick in the ballz while sleeping.

This. Fucking this.

If Vidal is leaving for Oscar, then we are weaker this season. Anything less than Gotze or Isco and this is a really really bad decision.

Sadly, it does.

Different times Serge. Football is so much about money today, that it's unbelievable how a sale of your best players can impact you when you don't play that Qatari money game. in a year when we lost our biggest personalities in the dressing room in Pirlo and Tevez, and have almost reached the conclusion that a Pogba sale is inevitable next season, we decide to go and sell or agree to sell the ONE guy that epitomises what this team has stood for in the last four seasons, what message does that send out to Pogba? That we needed cash to buy Oscar in a season when we made the CL final. I disagree with the decision to sell and/or let Vidal leave.

This is going to be interesting to note. I really want to know who has initiated this, it certainly wasn't in the background for months. This is a sudden turn of events, and something has clearly triggered this. Player will see,s unlikely only because of Vidal saying before leaving for the Copa that he'd like to see his career out at Juve. Can't believe that won't happen. Honestly. I'd be equally amazed if this was Allegris decision.

Vidal is a priceless player. After selling him on, he may not be what he used to be, but this is the kind of player that sees his career out at the club. I don't think I have seen a more enigmatic and persistent figure in the club's midfield outside of David's, Nedved and Zizou. This is just an absolutely shocking development. And I genuinely think we are self destructing here if this move is for anything less than Gotze/Isco and Alex Sandro. I guess we buy him and move Asamoah back to midfield to limit the damage. Unbelievable that we lose the player that's always made us seem like we were playing with a one man advantage. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

I understand that they are different times, but that wasn't my point. My point is this club has been known to do this before, with arguably better players, so this shouldn't come as a total shock.

Agree, although this does send a bad message with (potentially) three high profile players leaving in one window. We know there are extenuating circumstances to all, but from the outside looking in it makes us look no different to Atlético, Dortmund or Porto.
