Then we figure something out. Let me ask all of you guys if Vidal initiated this and the movement started because of his desire like reported why would you want him ?
Because I can't get anyone who could replace him, and if I did hold off other clubs for Pogba, I'd do twice that for Vidal, if I want to challenge for all fronts.

Dat meltdown

If we invest the money wisely, which I think we will, we'll be fine

I have loved watching Vidal give his all for us every time he's out on the pitch but we were always going to have a squad shake up at some point.

The way I see it, if we lose Vidal for big money and bring in a world class talent at AM then we may end up benefiting. Hell there's nothing to suggest we wouldn't have ended up lining Vidal up as a CAM this season too because of our new system and plethora of midfielders.

I'd rather we keep him, but I trust our mgmt to do well with this influx of cash. However, with our 2 old class players in Tevez and Pirlo leaving, and Vidal potentially going we MUST get some stability back from here on in. Pogba simply can not be allowed to leave next Summer unless the offer is a game changing record breaker. And we better have World class players lined up as legitimate targets too.

Asamoah is very good, but I think wed be giving up our best strength, we are indestructible in midfield. Especially with Asamoah AND Vidal in the team. Rather both in midfield than Asamoah and a new ten.
I would prefer to sell Pogba for a huge fee of 100m or more than sell Vidal because it is a record transfer so it's not a typical selling club kind of move, we would be able to reinvest the 100m on the team and we know we will lose Pogba some day anyway. Also Asamoah could play in Pogba's spot on the left of our central midfield.

work ot a deal with götze coming the other way and I'm fine with it.

nightmare scenario would be signing for example Oscar, Cuadrado or Jovetic for that money. That would piss me off.
This. Fucking this.

Gotze, yes obviously.

Oscar, not as enthused but can live with it.

The other two, I would hang myself
If Vidal is leaving for Oscar, then we are weaker this season. Anything less than Gotze or Isco and this is a really really bad decision.

With 40m in one payment, an Oscar transfer becomes a true possibility now.
Sadly, it does.

This club sold Baggio and Zidane in their prime. It should not come as a shock that this would happen
Different times Serge. Football is so much about money today, that it's unbelievable how a sale of your best players can impact you when you don't play that Qatari money game. in a year when we lost our biggest personalities in the dressing room in Pirlo and Tevez, and have almost reached the conclusion that a Pogba sale is inevitable next season, we decide to go and sell or agree to sell the ONE guy that epitomises what this team has stood for in the last four seasons, what message does that send out to Pogba? That we needed cash to buy Oscar in a season when we made the CL final. I disagree with the decision to sell and/or let Vidal leave.

I think the question that has to be asked, and has not been answered, at least not for a while, is this.

Why would Vidal want to go to Bayern, when he has built his career here, is absolutely adored by the fans, and he himself has stated that he hopes to be at Juve for a long time?

Also, if , and this is a BIG if, Juve actually initiated this, why would they limit themselves to just dealing with one club? Surely a player like Vidal would entice a legitimate bidding war.
This is going to be interesting to note. I really want to know who has initiated this, it certainly wasn't in the background for months. This is a sudden turn of events, and something has clearly triggered this. Player will see,s unlikely only because of Vidal saying before leaving for the Copa that he'd like to see his career out at Juve. Can't believe that won't happen. Honestly. I'd be equally amazed if this was Allegris decision.

45M is still too low for Vidal
Vidal is a priceless player. After selling him on, he may not be what he used to be, but this is the kind of player that sees his career out at the club. I don't think I have seen a more enigmatic and persistent figure in the club's midfield outside of David's, Nedved and Zizou. This is just an absolutely shocking development. And I genuinely think we are self destructing here if this move is for anything less than Gotze/Isco and Alex Sandro. I guess we buy him and move Asamoah back to midfield to limit the damage. Unbelievable that we lose the player that's always made us seem like we were playing with a one man advantage. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Um, why are we selling Vidal all of a sudden?

I wonder, if there is any truth to this, that we know something about his injury others don't. Vidal in his prime was worth €65m-€70m.
