I agree with the above around book value. If we sell him for a loss this year it all goes on this year’s books and hampers our ability to do business this summer.
We really need a swap deal to fudge the books again or hopefully a paid loan.

I think thats only a concern when it gets into the sale conversation and a redemption clause. A straight up loan with a minimal fee and incurring a loss wouldn't be too much of a concern if the wages were handled. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe its a bit of both.

Depends on the loan fee. Book value drops only because book value is amortized/expensed every year. The expense/loss is still there, just spread out.
