Compared to Arturd, Ramsey isn't trash. Sure he was out injured most of the time, but he definitely has superior technique and footballing IQ than the pass accuracy merchant.
I’ll have to disagree - unless you are talking about peak wales Ramsey, normal Ramsey is non of the above.

Wales Ramsey, Arsenal Ramsey and even the match-fit Ramsey that played for Juve under Sarri and briefly under Pirlo. All of these Ramsey versions offer better results for the team than whatever Arthur is contributing. # of Goals + assists > % pass accuracy

Ramsey was starting to get into good form with us just before the pandemic hit. Then he became a useless, permacrock waster. But yeah you’re 100% spot on, Ramsey used to be a very good CM in his day. Arthur doesn’t have half the talent that Ramsey has/had.

This thread has been the place of retreat for the throaters. They say it aint right to put blame on a single guy (their guy), but are not shy to point all their dirty fingers at one dude who happens to be just as good/bad as the rest of the bunch.

Predictable, hilarious, keep it coming!

Since you're rarely wrong about a player; I guess this is one of those exceptions. He's a waste of space and without an improvement over him, we'll be going nowhere.

I have not seen a footballer in my lifetime who is so averse to playing a forward pass than this guy. He destroyed all the positive momentum he had from his previous games in just this one game against Villareal. Guy is a bottler and can't step up when needed.
Imagine if Vlahovic did everything else except shoot in front of goal. He'd be considered a waste of talent which is precisely what Arthur is.
I can't even call him a one-dimensional midfielder. The guy lacks any sort of dimension in his game.
Absolute waste of a talent for a technically 'sound' footballer.

Arturd Is the Ben Simmons of football. Ben Simmons earns 35 million a year but can't shoot free throws or jump shots, pretty much the same with Arturd's allergy to making long or through passes.

So you concede that he had been building momentum this season?
And then now its all lost, as the team failed overall against Villarreal. Yeah that sounds reasonable.

So Arthur is the one we need an upgrade on. But why him, why not Rabiot, why not McKennie, why not Locatelli or Zakaria?
We are 100% sure its Arthur that has limited us, even from the bench. Right.
If we can get Kroos or De Bruyne, then it doesnt matter who of these we replace, it would almost be an equal upgrade. None of our 5 CMs are currently much better than the others, they are all pretty average.

He was having okay-ish games. I thought it was a confidence issue with him in terms of making vertical passes (still could be) but that game against Villareal was one of the worst individual midfield performances I've ever seen. If he can't step up in games like these, he will never step up in his career.
How would you feel if a winger dribbles past players but can't make that final pass or shot? That's Arthur in a nutshell.
It's a shame because he's a good player technically but what's the point if you can't properly put it to use. Extremely frustrating player to watch. You could notice the fans in the stadium were frustrated with him as well each time he had the ball.

I think thats easier to fix and tweak than many other things. His passing is crisp and accurate, compared to all our other players maybe bar Cuadrado.
Obviously he is not great defensively, so he need to be more of an asset when building in attack, but I am more confident in him being more adventurous than Rabiot, McKennie, Bernadesci learning to play football. And Locatelli still has a lot to prove in my view and Zakaria we dont know anything about.
If we can sell him for 50-70M and get more of a proven ACM or B2B, obviously lets go for it. I dont give a shit about Arthurd, but I think its ridiculous to blame our poor season on him. If he was shit he should just be benched and would not be able to influence our results directly.

i had to see the hidden content to understand what's going on. singus lol

arthur needs to be replaced because considering yearly costs, he's the 3rd more expensive player of the league and his contribution doesn't match that at all. he's a good player and has a skill that no one else has (holding on to the ball), but he's too weak physically, unreliable, offers zilch in attack (how the fuck is he a brazilian), so the bottom like is that he's not worth 20+ millions per season. not good enough for a starter, way, way too expensive for a bench warmer. simple.
