fair enough, everyone has their own views, but i read his book and his diary and i really just thought that he was an idiot. but if people believe what he did, good luck to you :pint:
You are entitled to your opinion :pint: .. but the man was hardly an idiot, he studied to be a Doctor and helped lead the 26th July Movement to one of the most sucessful Revolutions of the 20th Century.

I think the greatest irony lost on all said fan boys is that here they are, proudly wearing a symbol of defiant political ideals and anti-establishment ethics on their chests ... and meanwhile profiteering capitalists are making money off of selling that image to them on T-shirts.

Che's core message has been packaged and silkscreened, turned into capitalist profit, and adorned by thousands foolish dolts who have sold out his ideals for a T-shirt. And they advertise that fact proudly!

Talk about not knowing when capitalism has made you its bitch...
I agree. It's become bastardised and has been exploited badly. It's almost a brand for teenage angst.

yeh true, and recently the borouh near where i live or constuency, recently voted in the BNP, they are getting more and more seats in parliament and it is starting to worry me, not that they are gaining more power but the consequences when they WILL clash with some of the public.
The BNP have NO seats in Parliment. However, just a point of reference, Southern India, which is Communist, has higher literacy and per-capita income than the rest of India. The India Communists have be successful partly because they have ensured the regions unique and diverse cultural traditions are perserved. They're democratically elected.

No I agree with you too. But then you can have a moderate form in Communism such progressive democratic Socialism.

It has been extremely successful in Europe. For example it has provided free health care and the minimum wage.

If you take away the labels all is means is that people have a sense of community, self respect and social justice.

Sorry to get on my soap box .:D
