Reports from Italy indicate that Fiorentina have signed Azzurrini midfielder Antonio Nocerino from Juventus in a co-ownership deal.

The 22-year-old spent last season in Serie B with Piacenza and impressed sufficiently at the Stadio Garilli to earn the call back to Turin.

Juve bought out the Papaveri’s share in the ex-Genoa man for around £250,000 just last month and it appeared he may start the season in Claudio Ranieri’s squad.

However, the Old Lady seem to feel that Nocerino needs more top-flight experience before he can wear the Bianconeri jersey and are prepared to do without him this term.

Fiorentina are believed to have paid £3m for a 50 per cent share of the young star with an official announcement expected shortly.

It is suspected that this acquisition may be the result of the Viola’s frustration at an unsuccesful bid to lure Arsenal’s Freddie Ljungberg.

that article does strongly suggest a full sale, but i hope it is unreliable information because why would juve pay 3.75m for his coownership n then just sell him for 4m, maybe its an another secco special?

to me the nocerino situation is very complicated.... on one hand an ok team like fiorentina are willing to co-own him n give him way more starting time than he would recieve at juve which would help the player grow, but fiorentina wont do that unless its a co-ownership, hence the coownership is neccessary... if we keep him he might fade by not getting enough playing time tho so who knows wat to do but a full sale isnt the answer!!!

The problem is that Nocerino at Vioa will also have stiff competiton and even if he made a first team and become essential player I highy doubt that we gonna buy him back (you know Secco and Corvino ability).

@Mondo1 : I don't blame Secco for Bojinov cuz it's not Secco's fault Boji didn't played and in my opinion I think that Boji is bringing troubles since Prandelli doesn't want him etc. But one thing I won't forgive to Secco is selling Mutu...

30€m for 50 % in one year? Sure that could happen. More likely is a fee of like 5-10 mils if he is successful.

The thing I like about Co-pwn is the fact Fiorentina will treat him as a Fiorentina player and not as a Juve player on loan. And then of course the darker side of it, not being in total control of his future.

However he plays, 50% of Nocerino after 1 year won't cost us more than 5 or 6m. Yeah we'll lose 2m euro to get him back but but thats a risk that we must take.
In Fiorentina he will have a chance to be in starting Eleven and he will have the chance to play european football. In Juve he wont get these chances. Year in a strong team like Fiorentina will tell us if this boy has what it takes to be our future or he's just another average and hyped Italian player.
If he won't make it then we don't lose anything and we can get him back cheaper than we sold him or sell our half for more than what we payed in the past.

It could be that Mutu was impossible to keep at the time. I don't quite remember, anyways. However, if this was the case then it wasn't such a bad deal. Who knew that the oh so promising Bojinov would turn out to be such a donkey?
