Antonio #Conte to Federico Buffa Talks: "I absolutely had no agreement with #Juventus and I categorically refused. I always said to anyone who tried to approach me: 'Gentlemen, I won't meet anything or anyone, I won't speak to anything or anyone until I've spoken to the President'. Is the relationship with the fans now strained #Juve ? Only fools can go after these things. For me, Juventus is, was and always will be Juventus"

What he says seems unrealistic. We clearly were strongly in on him. But he has to find a middle ground between his feelings for Juve and being at that club.
I don't think he's the kind of guy that would let his emotions drive a decision or he wouldn't have coached Inter nor Napoli at all. And he wouldnt have quit Juve when he thought the project doesnt set him up for success. He's ultimately looking out for himself first as most coaches would.

If he did negotiate with Juve then he did so from a place of strength - he holds the leverage as he just won the league with Napoli and is favourite to win it again. He is not desperate he is very comfortable and so if he joins us then it will be on his terms. When he joined us the first time, he had no leverage he was a new coach who would not be considered by any other top club. This time we are desperate. We sacked our coach mid-season and our director of football just a few weeks ago.

If I were him I'd ask for a high salary and demand either a massive war chest or will want to see that the squad is in decent enough shape to compete. If I felt the team is far off of the mark, then I'll wait a few more years and let another coach do some squad building.

Inter 63
Juve 55
Milan 55
Napoli 41

And near the end of the season Conte complained that his players are dead tired.

I think that he would have joined Juve had we failed to make the CL
He kills his players though doesn't he, one of the reasons why there's no longevity with him.
