Even someone like Iturbe might’ve done well under Conte. He usually knows how to get the best out of the players he wants, just look at guys like McTominay or Lukaku right now. Personally, I’d rather see a player come in who the coach can actually work with, than watch us make a bunch of random signings like Koopmeiners, Douglas Luiz, Nico, and the rest, only for all of them to flop.
Why is our former captain, 300+ games and 8x league winner and CL winner not in the legends section?

He then throws a tantrum over transfers implying he (and by extension the club) are being held back by the budgeting and transfer policy. He quits on the first day of preseason- leaving us entirely in the lurch and scrambling for a replacement. We grit our teeth and hire Max Allegri: recently let go by Milan after overseeing a decline over there. Allegri takes the same squad Conte claimed was holding him back and reaches the CL final and wins the Scudetto.
Conte's career after this sees him accept the Azzuri job and issue a humiliating apology and acceptance of the ban he had received saying that it 'helped him grow'. From there he sees success elsewhere, finding fame in England before eventually agreeing to manage Inter. You dismiss this but would this have been an acceptable transfer for him to make as a player? No chance. From the slobbering apology to the FIGC to the quotes of him celebrating "dethroning Juventus" I can't stomach this piece of shit any more. He's not uno di noi and if he comes back that will be the narrative and it will turn me off watching us.
It was all good when he was a symbol of the loyalty and siege mentality that Juventus is built on but now he's a symbol of Nu-football and Nu-Serie A: no soul, no bite, no danger and no passion. It's all sanitised, it's all family-friendly, it's all Netflix, it's all pink/yellow and aqua/orange and it's fucking shite.
Fuck him.
He burns bridges? Sure but I past the point of carrying what happens in the next 2-3 years and would like to see us compete for the title.
Sure, we’re all a liitle optimistic, if not delusional, but his track record with Chelsea, Inter, Italy and Napoli does prove he is more than capable of winning the title again with Juve. His ‘us vs the world’ mentality is exactly what this club full of losers needs.
I couldn’t care less about his European record at the moment. If he can win us title while losing every match in the CL, I’d day he’s done an excellent job. We need to be the strongest in Italy before even thinking of being the strongest in Europe.
