If he'd sign a one-year contract with an obligation to leave afterwards, or he and the club would have to pay me, me specifically, 1m euro each, then I'd take him on.
I am sure he can fire us up during that year. But I can't stand his antics and I find his vision boring.

Conte:

‘I don’t read this and I don’t hear this, but the people who know me would not tell you that I am bad coach,’

‘None of the clubs where I have worked have been unhappy about my commitment and what I have given them.

Usually when I leave, the club regret it a lot because they saw the way I worked and the commitment I put in. In this aspect I am really happy for the way that I am.’

‘I give everything for the club. Not only for Tottenham — for Inter, for Juventus, for every club where I was the coach. It is normal that when I finish the day I am tired because I work a lot for the club. And for this reason they want me to stay for a long period.’

It has been a difficult few months for the Italian, with the deaths of fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone in October, Sinisa Mihajlovic in December and Gianluca Vialli this month. All three were dear friends, none was older than 61.

Conte, 53, opened up on how it has affected him. ‘This is a difficult season from a personal aspect,’ he said. ‘When this situation happens it brings you to have important reflections.

‘Many times we give a lot of importance to our work and we forget family, we forget that we need to have more time for us. For sure, this season is making me have an important reflection on my future.

‘When work is at the top of your mind maybe we forget to stay with family and friends, we forget to spend time with friends. This is our passion and for that we lose a lot of things.

‘When this happens you start to think that maybe it is also good to give more time to your family and friends and also to yourself. Work is not everything in life.’

The fact that Conte’s family remain in Italy only makes life harder.

‘I don’t want to affect the life of my family,’ he said. ‘Sometimes it is important to make decisions to sacrifice and stay.'

‘But I have a family who try to support me and come here at every moment that they can. But the situation becomes more difficult when things happen, like with Gianluca, Gian Piero and Sinisa.’

This is the thread of release, for those whose only purpose the last few years has been, the releases of mister. I would say, keep thread open forever and without moderation, its charity.

Antonio #Conte reflecting on his future: the desire of the italian coach is the return to Serie A. So he could leave #Tottenham at the end of the season. #transfers #THFC

Wait...what?? This guy chose a job at Tottenham over spending time with his family? I'm not a parent so not usually in the business of criticising people who are...but that really is terrible

Well.. the reason could be for the family as well.
I am sure he does not need those 20 mil he got from Totts.
But who knows?!!

I want him back but don't want that 3-5-2 business around here.

I want Zidane first and foremost.

But if we can't get him (and FIGC and Uefa fucking us makes that less likely), I will begrudgingly be fine with Conte.

Mainly because we are likely to play without Europe play next season, even start next season with points deduction, and Conte best asset is rallying a collective together like feverish soldier playing aggressive football.

and most importantly Foster an us vs them mindset into them. And there is no bigger fuel for a an us vs them mantra then whats happening to us.

Plus can get less out of more with role players if we lose some high profile players and can't replace them properly.

He will only work for 1-2 seasons due his self destructive nature, but that might be what we need to bounce back from a huge setback. Might even challenge for scudetto against odds.

But biggest draw back for him to Juve is he is more about experienced players and not youth, and we are dripping with young players currently.

Before the 15 point deduction fiasco I was reluctant about this guy but now given where we'll be in the years to come he doesnt seem like such a bad idea for the rebuild.

Agree that this is the most important, but it's precisely the part that Conte may find the hardest to bring to the team after his adventures as Italy coach ("My ban helped me grow") and then at Inter. I wouldn't be able to take him seriously talking about himself as uno di noi or whatever after all that. Not to mention the way he left us and was shown up big time by Max that same season.

Like you, I would begrudgingly accept him as the coach because frankly in a blind selection with the names removed from the resumes he's the guy I'd pick because the situation is so similar to the one we had before when he turned us around and did it so well. He's clearly the ideal candidate in many ways, and if he were hired I'd accept it and be open to him winning me back over somewhat- it's just I really can't stand the guy. 'Hate' would be too strong a word, but it's something like that.

Not to mention I have no reason to trust him. He's shown himself to be entirely disloyal. We aren't going to be free-spending, and I fully expect him to eventually publicly criticise this and cause disruption before eventually leaving us in the shit again.

Conte is a win now coach who wants hard workers and experience.

We need to build for future, we're probably going to be 10 EUR restaurant for a few years. Hire someone cheaper and promising thats ok with working with some of the best talent in Italy + a few established stars. We basically need Conte but from 2011, not this version. Id go for Tudor personally, Juric would be fine too.
