United fan in peace here. I have a great admiration for Italian football, Juventus and its history and it is a shame to see what Serie A and giants like Milan and Juventus have come to.

But in terms of Conte, from a neutral's perspective it seems clear that Vidal/Pogba will be sold and it's why he's left and I think that that is an absolute cop out. Anyone with any knowledge of Juventus and the state of Italian football knows that it is in a bad shape and that the lure of the Premier League/La Liga + realistic chance of winning the Champions League + 100% salary increase is just something Juventus can't offer. He knew what he was getting himself into and what he was already managing.

Great managers stick through the rough no matter what out of pure loyalty to the club and their fans. Wenger did it, despite being courted by Juve/Madrid/France, throughout the 00's and Ferguson did it after having to sell Ronaldo and miss out on Tevez and numerous other targets and replace them with $#@! like Young and Valencia.

You just don't leave a club you love just as pre-season comes around and the season starts in just a month's time. Poor form by Conte. He knew what the job entailed.
Welcome. Us juve fans respect united, it is arsenal that we hate and despise. I hope Arturo does well for your club, treat my baby well. Adios, Arturo.

I woke up this morning feeling great, browsing the tuz forums, hoping that the Iturbe deal got closed, but nah, shortly after clocking into work this morning the news had broke that Conte had up and resigned outta the blue. I was hoping it was usual media bullshit. All I could think of was man, I bet the media were happy they have something real and scandalous to talk about, and how all of Italy must be happy as shit because Conte left...first replacement names that popped into my head were the exact ones that were being reported by the media about an hour later. Mancini, Spalleti, and Allegri(although I thought of it as a joke, now it looks like it might become true, fuck).

Out of the 3 I think Mancini makes the safest bet to keep us in CL spots for a year while we find a suitable replacement. While Spaletti would be the most interesting of the 3. And Allegri imo is a toss up.

And are we forgetting that Conte hinted at wanting to take a sabbatical year off sometime in his career just this past May(I dont remember his exact words or phrasings). Also, he has previously stated he would like to Coach the Italian NT.
Coincidence that he does this after the Italy job opened up? Who knows. We'll see. If he does I wont understand why he would be willing to help out the bastards at the FIGC so soon at the expense of Juve. Maybe its a secret operation for Agnelli to get his guy to head the FIGC. We can only hope this is part of a bigger plan to ultimately favor us.

On the one hand we lose the utter domination and stranglehold we had over Italy under Conte's style and tactics...but now that he is gone I feel easier saying that his results in Europe left much to be desired, as Juve's best games in CL(I couldnt watch the Madrid games last season) under his tenure were when he was suspended. So we can hope to see a change in Europe where we don't respect lesser opposition so much.

If it were up to me I'd try and get Deschamps. Or maybe even give Martino a call. He got second place in the LOLiga with a Barca with shitty defenders. I'd personally risk it. but thats just me.

I wonder if that lack of motivation is true.
I wonder if he is referring to Juventus or lack of motivation in general. If he really is tired/without ideas/burnt out a bit, it was the right decision. Well, we will see if he immediately takes another job or not.

very much gutted with this new.. I however think it is a correct one from Conte to express his frustration with such management. Seeing our major transfers falling apart I was thinking deep down if Conte would settle for this. Clearly not and he chose to throw it in their lap. I just hope we don't lose character over this. Staying top wasn't a priority this season since the focus shifted to CL, but I guess this season we have to remain top to show that we still got it.
