can be understood as:

I need to check with the board if i will be able to get reinforcements i need to go forward.

Also,immediately after he's asked about reassurments so it makes sense that that is actually what he meant !

The talks that we have here on tuz are also the kind of talks that happen around him and in media , serie a is a low league , 3 titles dont mean much in this league , not the same anymore . The only way to shut them up is europe , but for europe we cant buy like madrid chelsea bayern etc . So for him he has done what he could .
Can you imagine if he doesn't win the league next year ? . Even he needs to be motivated as a coach .
