Like?

No top player would take winning a tin pot league like Serie a at the expense of doing awful in the CL, my point is that seeing how bad serie a is, it's becoming a secondary for any top player.

in 2012 we did, but not for 2014. Your seriously comparing Liverpool and Atheltico Madrid's success in the two most competitive leagues in the world, to Juve winning a league we're clearly the best team in it? Not to mention the consider margin of points.

As for Prandelli we go through this every time, you watch at the World Cup he'll do again.

@ Suns

I think Montella could be a good option as well

you wait come the world cup when he does good again with an average team, like he always does

The most hilarious part is that you're actually serious. Oh wait, did I say "ridiculous"? So many other adjectives ring true also... hilarious, moronic, inane, delusional...

But he is not too far from reality.
Serie A sucks mate, at least in comparison with the toop money leagues.. Its time to start accepting it.

when the so called record breaking team in serie a was throttling down against 5th placed team in ligue 1 after 15 minutes at home game, you knew this team is just not that good and the league is actually shit.

I'm willing to give 3-5-2 benefit of doubt if we can secure players like mata or isco or even nedved to replace pirlo at the center.

This. For me, winning the EL in our stadium is enought for me. Ill celebrate that shid like if we won the CL!.

WHy? because realistically, that is as far as we can go with this team. The CL is just a dream for us, and we are not good enoguth to win it as we are. Period.
Yes I feel you. For me I rate the EL victory higher than this 3rd Serie A. Its been 18 years we got something in Europe. Buffon might never ever win a CL with us, it will do wonders to him.

Well thank you for being one of many critics, but if you want me to take you seriously, you'd need to elaborate on your points

Let's ponder for a moment the latest coach this forum is obsessing over, Simeone. Let's just look at his results last year. 3rd in La Liga with 76 points, won that pathetic competition Copa Del Rey... and best of all crashed out of Europa in the round of 32 to Anzhi... yes, you read that right, Anzhi. If Conte had a year like that everyone on the forum would be screaming for his firing. Losing to Anzhi that early in the EL, while having both Costa and Falcao in the side, is absolutely pathetic. Simeone is doing very well this year, but Conte blew him out of the water last year as far as results go. 2nd straight scudetto, and UCL QFs (losing to the eventual champions by much less than their SF opponent did).

Their first years were a wash in my opinion. Simeone won the Europa, yes, but he also only gained 56 points in La Liga, which was less than 58 gained under their previous coach the year prior. Conte, took a Juve side of consecutive 7th place finishes to an unbeaten scudetto and a coppa italia (lame competition, yes) final.

So right now.

Year 1 results Conte = Simeone
Year 2 results Conte >>>>>>>> Simeone
Year 3 results Simeone > Conte (assuming Atletico win La Liga at the very least)

Hmmm.

Except that winning La Liga is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Serie A.

Plus they're in the semi finals of the CL while we're in the EL, so an extra >>>>>>>>>>>> for that.

I'm pretty sure I said that silly.

If they do the double, then that's incredibly impressive. It doesn't change that most of the fans on this forum would have been screaming for his head with the pathetic results he had last season.

Simeone is doing wonders with a 2nd tier team, Conte is doing great with a good team. Juventus are the Real Madrid of Italy while Atletico are like the equivalent of Roma or Fiorentina. Also Simoene is beating the two best teams in the world, Barcelona and Real while being in the semis in the CL while we're winning a watered down league and not doing well in Europe.

And this is not me criticizing Conte or anything, it's just giving Simoene the props he deserves.

Lol 442 diamond would be a step back. All the other Decent-top european clubs have genuine width which they would use to exploit us horrendously.
It would actually suit this team perfectly tbh, we have no width and normally play 2 strikers. If u think about it for a minute it would make sense to play it over a 5-3-2, 3-5-2 imo.

I am not undervaluing Conte. I just feel he should do more on Europe considering the God like mode we have been in Serie A and the current batch of players we have. If we take too long , we risk selling these players, another rebuilding process and so on. Winning the EL this season will be a fantastic achievement, its better than winning a Serie A title.
