Pogba, could do this at 20. He came on, sure asamoah had to cover him a bit, but he added immediatly to the team, the gap in quality wasent that great, the tactical flow was less, but for such a talent, thats not a big deal.
But here is the thing. Juve cannot afford to trow games, by lining up youngsters that arent good enough to compete yet. And the youngsters cannot afford to miss playing games, waiting for when we meet a minor team.
Therefore, a player must have reached a certain level of quality and consistancy, he must be able to challenge.
as if juve waited for young del piero to 'reach certain level of quality and consistency' before slowly integrating he as 1st team squad, heck juve thrown away the messi at that time that was baggio to accommodate del piero...
youngsters cannot afford to miss playing games? why? it hampered their development? pogba -again the perfect case for this argument- missed A LOT of games when he joined here, yet he still developed, as I told you before training did it far more than playing competitive matches.
again juve cannot afford to throw away games?

as if I asked juve to field 8 youngsters, it's only 1-3 players and again not even on weekly basis, if the quality of the team dropped that much then there is something wrong with the entire coaching department and scouting department

besides, often top clubs done this every where else.
Currently, Berardi is buzy challenging at Sassulo. His long string of lesser games doesnt even make him a starter anymore ! What the hell is he supposed to do at juventus when Tevez who is never injured or tired, is in front of you. Should be bench the vastly superior tevez ? SHould we risk to have Tevez form drop cause we need to grow up some kiddo ? Hell no, we are juventus.
berardi can play as right winger, and there is always substitution, also there is this fact that guys like quaq, vuc and gio are no longer considered better than a youngster like berardi then there are osvaldos bendtners boriellos anelkas who hardly contributed anything, most of them at this point are just a waste of money to the club.
The argument about training facilities is a weak one. The greatest players ever, learned to play on the street. Sure, training facilities help to polish players and aid development when they are in the academy, but playtime is much much more important.
Thats why players need to loaned out untill they have developped and showed some consistancy. The players much reach that point, that if they were owned by a minor club, that they would want to take the transfer to the big teams. That very point.
Immobile is a great example. Past years he'd hardly make our bench. Now with a small club, he makes his breaktrough, and is consistant all season. He is ready.
does it ever occurred to you that the greatest players never spent their time bouncing around from one mediocre club to another?

Our issues in europe were not related to the formation, but down to mentality.
I recall our 352 demolishing Chelsea despite having $#@!ty forwards. And chelsea had excellent fullbacks, and class wingers.
If we play with our killer mentality switched on, in good physical shape, our wingbacks will lock down the wings, and our CM+vidal will take the fight to their box.
Only Bayern and madrid, would require a change, because their wingers are so exponentially faster, that you need fullbacks instead to avoid getting countered to $#@!
I can also recall that the Chelsea we faced was not organised at all and they played a weird 532 with mata as their striker. todays Chelsea would smash us 3-0.
They wouldnt, now go away
zach stating our issue is mentality, then gloating over a win against a crippled chelsea team at their worst moment and mental state, is somewhat shooting your own feet.
rakib is right, in an equal mentality state and preparation, this juve with this current style of playing would at least get pinned a lot, and such situation would've caused by tactical disadvantage.
