4-2-3-1 as deployed by a coach that value's organisation and defence, aswel as workrate and sacrifice, could easely put togheter a juggernaut, that the lovers of pure flair and fancy, could see as 6 defenders and 1 attacker

not always the wingers don't join the back 4 fully. they instead press the attacking fullbacks and therefore it becomes a 4411. if the fullbacks overlap then it becomes a 6211.


however in other prospective a 4231 becomes a 2251 when attacking. the fullback really push and provide extra attack. this is why this works so well in Europe. in Europe is mostly about attack (as you saw with Bayern last season) so the fullbacks have to be the best they can be.

you could argue that 352 turns to a 334 but we know that the wingbacks are not good enough offensively and the back 3 is too exposed.
