Perfect match from his side. Got everything right, perhaps apart from the Llorente sub.
i think Llorente coming off was the way to go. We were down to 10 with a whole half to play. We needed mobile players who could move and close down which Llorente doesn't really offer.

If we had 15 mins left then I'd keep him on and go for the goal but I think we couldn't afford to play with him for that long.

Yes exactly. This idea was clear when he left Tevez alone upfront and added Giovinco later. We played well enough to get a good result but unfortunately the brain farts of Chiellini and the Ref destroyed this game for us.

ffs, this shit italian mentality is killing us in the CL. If you're not losing, play all defence and nothing else. Against teams like real and players like ronaldo shit will happen, you give them the chance to play on 1 goal and they will score. we need to hold on to the ball from time to time, try putting pressure on their defence. Maybe it will work against shit teams like Celtic but teams like Real and Bayern will kill you if you give them the green light to come at you.

Gonna have to disagree with you here. The formation change he made was a good one, he made some pretty good sub, he clearly made our players play with some grinta today. The goals he could do nothing about.
really? Because the only way we seem to want to hold on to the ball is when we're losing.

I think Conte was perfect today. Our players looked motivated as hell, and he really neutralized Reals play. And his changes were quite good, odds were against us, and off course it's sad to sacrifice Llorente, but that's just what we had to do. Think the team reacted well to a hard situation, i'm pretty happy about our performance, as we showed we have the quality a lot in here doubted we had.

Conte deserves applause for tonight, even with 10 men his substitutes were spot on and positive ones too, not many managers with 10 men would take off a defender and stick on another attacker, especially against the attacking wealth of RM, showed no fear tonight and he like the rest of the team deserved a lot more from tonight.

Why do you say that?
One man down, our lines will get closer to each other, we won't have space and yet Pirlo stays. It was obvious Pirlo will not touch a ball in that situation. What did Conte do? He took off the only goal scorer. Bonucci was the obvious choice to come in and do playmaking from the back line hoofing the ball to a tall strong center forward who can hold it for a moment to fill up space.

As for all the others who called me an idiot, I think your opinion on Conte never making mistakes makes you more of idiots. And that's about it, I am not in the mood in fighting with anyone.

Why didn't anyone call you an idiot? I totally agree with everything you said.

Positive signs - will be interesting to see if he continues with changes in forthcoming matches starting with Genoa.

still not keen on this marchisio out wide idea, offered very little going forward, but i guess he was there to cover Caceres tonight
I think Marchisio going wide was to keep Ronaldo quiet, which worked. Apart from him scoring in the 4th minute on the other wing, which he could do little about.

I thought Marchisio, Caceres and Barzagli did a good job on Ronaldo when he was playing on their wing.

Conte took off the least mobile striker to keep the midfield and defense solid then put on another attacker for Pirlo to try and equalise. I think calling him a coward is stupid here, Juve played a good game.
