I wouldn't be surprised if he quit football altogether if he was to receive another ban. He's a man of honor and integrity, after all. You could clearly tell how much the last sanction hurt him.
Not only that. You can tell he's a passionate and emotional man, and besides making his job extra difficult, I'm sure that the negative publicity and false accusations hurts him more deeply and would take more of a toll on him than it would on most people.

So they banned him for failure to report, he sat out the ban, but that's not it? Some other not-reported game came up in Kutuzov's testimony or what?
Yes. Bari-Salernitana.

The only hope is that Kutuzov's testimony and the facts Palazzi is able to gather from everything that has to do with that match, will prove not to be enough. But knowing how little it has taken Palazzi to defer Conte in the past, my hopes aren't exactly high.

He isn't even under investigation is he? Wasn't it announced the other day he and Rannochia are in the clear?
In the criminal case, he's not. This is true. But sports law has nothing to do with criminal law. Palazzi can still defer him to the FIGC for failure to report. I submitted a post on the former page that explains why.

Maybe I'm mistaking Kutuzov for someone else, but part of what Palazzi has to work with is that someone said that the player Colombo said: "I won't play, it will be a farce."

I thought those were Kutuzov's words, but I may be mistaken as to who said what. But that Palazzi is looking into this case right now, is what all reports are saying.

And by the way, Palazzi doesn't have to prove that Conte knew anything. It's sufficient for a ban in the sporting law that it's likely that he knew.

What is true is that Palazzi has even less to go on this time than what was the case with Corobbio, but I agree with everyone in this thread who said we should still be worried. We have seen how little it takes.

I just wanted to make clear that being checked out of the criminal case is not the same thing as being in the clear with the FIGC.

It's going to get to the stage where every 4 months of every season we are going to lose Conte to some bullshit that the prick Palazzi will try to throw on him, but we will still win the league every season.
