Ahhh. If the prosecution is relying on the theory that 23 of the 24 players were all urinating while the coach was giving pre-match instructions, then I have a great feeling for full acquittal. Their theory is not plausable in any sense unless Palazzi believes Conte was giving instructions until an assistant chimed in with, "Coach, you might want to wait until the lads return. You're talking to an empty room." And Conte replied, "I am? Oh well, no matter. The match is fixed anyway. Who needs a water?"

I think these judges don't care about justice, they just don't want to look bad. I predict that they will just reduce the sentence in order to satisfy all parties (Palazzi gets Conte banned and Conte gets his ban reduced).

Either that, or they want to send a message by banning a high profile coach like Conte.

I have high hopes inside me for full aqcuittal, but since it's Italy I don't expect anything else than 2-3 months reduction.

You guys dont understand how this works, this is not a government trial and this is not a real tribunal. This is all a "dispute" between private parties in front of a private "court". Any lawsuit in regular italian courts will not affect the outcome of these proceedings.

I'm no expert in law but I'm sure that an Italian court can overrule a sporting court. If Conte decides to take this further and a real court found in his favor then the sporting court and FIGC would be irrelevant. They would have to abide by the decisions of the real court.

the whole experience will only further strenghten conte mentally and his hunger for victory. also conte not beeing able to scream for a whole match, means he has his voice and will scream even more at the players in training and during the week. My guess is the players do not want to meet an angry conte in training, and his influence will still be felt by the players, even if he is not on the sideline on matchday.

Thats not how it works, they are two separate systems and the most Conte could hope for from a real court is a subsequent decision that his ban was incorrect and/or that his rights were violated and get damages. But a real court won't prevent the ban from happening (nor does it have time to do so).
