in the case of this sporting trail, the bullshit is that conte has to prove he is innocent. do you understand how difficult this is? especially when the judge had deemed that the word of one man is more valuable than the word of many.
And that is the big problem.

It wouldn't even be as bad if they put each party on an even footing, unlike a criminal trial where the onus is on the prosecution.

To completely flip things makes it extremely unfair.

If the authorities believe they have a good case and plenty evidence, they should be willing to back themselves to prove that case.

Reminds me of another court in history.

The People's Court (German: Volksgerichtshof) was a Sondergericht, a special court, established in 1934 by German Chancellor Adolf Hitler. The "People's Court" was set up outside the operations of the constitutional frame of law. Unsurprisingly, it did not follow the laws and procedures of regular German trials, being easily characterized as a "kangaroo court". It almost always sided with the prosecution.

Which is why sporting trials in Italy are a complete joke and why any guilty verdict is always going to be suspect. So anyone who says 'if he's found guilty'...blah blah blah....is somewhat clueless...it's almost impossible to be found not guilty in this shit.

straw man argument.

first of all being accused of murder is different than a betting scandal. different circumstances. and yes until the evidence proves that the player did it, i would say that he is innocent. that's what evidence is there for.

second of all, being accused of something is different than being convicted for the crime. van persie was accused of sexual assault. why is he not in prison? because evidence proved that he didn't do it.

in the case of this sporting trail, the bull$#@! is that conte has to prove he is innocent. do you understand how difficult this is? especially when the judge had deemed that the word of one man is more valuable than the word of many.

third, figc has proven in the past that there is a unfairness in serving out so called punishments and trials, making them unreliable as far as prosecutors go.

TS: Conte has accepted a plea bargain. He will be banned for 3 months & will return on 1st Nov. Official on Wednesday. #juvenews

During his ban, Conte will miss the Supercoppa final, 3 CL games & 10 league games before he returns.

Conte's on field replacement during the ban will most likely be Massimo Carrera or youth coach Baroni. #Juvenews

Damn thats really bad - he is our spirit on the pitch :S. I wonder what will happen with Bonucci though, he was great in 2012 and tbh I think if he is guilty then he was forced to do it (an offer he cant refuse...) because 2000 euro for professional footballer is nothing...

Goddammit! The negative publicity :sergio:
So can he still be the man behind the team during this time or not? I mean during the matches giving the instructions about tactics subs etc., to the coach by phone or whatever or not?

Why should Conte do that? Doesn't he want to clear his name? Because if he accepts, he would forever be branded as a cheater...(off course he's not, but you know..the media, people etc.)
