Last time we got bent over and screwed because of the cowardness act of some close people to Juventus. This is not the same Juve from 2006, we won't give them the other cheek after getting slapped. This time we will bend them over and get medieval on their asses. This is so fishy, trying to disturb the team while fighting for the title.

Nope. Sorry. You don't know that, I don't know that. It sure helped that he's an ex-Juventino but saying his "skills" merely had nothing to do with his selection is utter crap.
I hope we didn't appoint a manager just because he got his team promoted to Serie A. That would be sad.

Exactly.

Do you guys think Agnelli and Marotta picked him up only because he's an ex-Juventino? I thought Agnelli doesn't care about Juve history, isn't that why he "hate" on ADP, Trezeguet, Camoranesi and the rest?
There were't many coaches available last Summer. That played a major role in selecting him. If not, why didn't we appoint Novara's coach instead? He too got his team promoted.

There's character. Yes, Conte made himself available for Juve, but so did a lot of coaches. Agnelli and Marotta probably had some kind of a job interview with him to discuss his ideas and ambitions. Plus, Conte got two Serie A promotions with two different teams, that says something.

Yes, there were a lot of options out there. Conte was the only one with the characteristics they wanted. Cheap and a club legend.
lol. now you're just saying things to yourself to convince yourself that management sucks and somehow "got lucky" by picking Conte. I'm sure his coaching skills had nothing to do with it.

Conte has that it-factor personality/attitude that played a major role in getting the juve job. If you watched him as a player and the way he conducted himself on and off the pitch during our glory days in the late 90's you will know what I am talking about. I think skills played a minimal role in the hiring. He is still learning as a coach and doesn't have a very clear plan on how he wants his team to play tactically, which was obvious during the season, and I am sure he will develop as a coach because he has the hunger and desire to so so. He is a self motivated coach that aim for perfection, just the way he was as a player.

One member lamer than the other in here.

His coaching record and the 2 Serie A promotions were big factors in him being appointed. You're the one kidding yourself. The only teams that would use your method of hiring a coach are those that care little about winning.

they picked him because he was cheap, available without any real competition and unknown enough so they could boss him around.
Also because he was an Italian, all these priorities render him an affordable and expendable wild card, compatible with our nationalistic Ital-Juve priority.

At worst case scenario, he would flop like the rest, take the blame and get booted, just like the rest, at the best case scenario, he will turn into the new Pep and they will look like competent knowhow's.
After 7 seven years, taking the same bet, they got lucky!

I only hope that they wont find a way to get rid of him once his salary raises and his influence demands less mediocre Italians, in order to become a bit more competitive (esp in Europe)

Antonio Conte trusts Sunday evening’s clash with Roma will be “tough and entertaining,” but reveals Fabio Quagliarella could miss out.

Juventus need a victory to be sure of holding on to the Serie A leadership, as Milan welcome Bologna tomorrow afternoon.

“It’s going to be a tough and entertaining game. We know we’re facing a side that is in good shape and can hurt anyone if in the right mood. We are ready to step on to the field, aware of our potential and good form,” said the Coach in his press conference.

“If you work at Juve or Milan, then you are always obliged to win from the first game to the last. If you are at the end of the season with two teams so close in the table, it’s even more important not to slip up. We will certainly be highly motivated.”

Quagliarella had been tipped to start the match, but Conte revealed he might not be able to feature at all.

“He had a problem with his upper thigh and I’m not sure if he will even be there tomorrow. He could be left at home.”

Roma are traditionally not a club with much patience, but they and the fans have stuck by Luis Enrique despite some very disappointing results.

“He always had the total support of the club and the city. This is thanks to him, because he brought a new mentality that everyone at Roma married without hesitation. It is difficult to work at Roma, so the club did a great job protecting him in difficult moments. I really respect Luis Enrique.”

Conte was in the headlines this week when reports emerged of his name being mentioned in the match-fixing investigation into his time at Siena.

“I read about that, but there is an investigation and I have faith in the authorities. Nobody has called me to testify, but if that happens then I will be happy to respond to all questions.

“Is it an attempt to destabilise Juve? If they try that, then they’ll find a brick wall. In fact, it would only increase our hunger and determination, trebling our desire to achieve something extraordinary.

“It is a dream to be six rounds from the end of the season with the Scudetto and Coppa Italia within our grasp.”

Anyone hear about Conte's involvement in the betting scandal? Filippo Carobbio played for Siena under Conte and was arrested in this case. He told prosecutors that prior to Novara - Siena 2-2 of last year he told Conte and the assistant coach the the game might be fixed. And Conte, who should have reported this to FIGC according to the regulations, didn't. So for this he could get up to a year's suspension. That would suck for us. :D

It's all one big ass farce to distract Conte and co.

He already said that if he gets called for questioning he'll answer all the questions..

Nothing to worry about, imo

I wonder how much he's getting paid to say this.

Total BS, but who here would be surprised at Conte being punished? Might as well strip the new scudetto we'll win this year also. Seriously, move Juve to France if you don't wanna deal with those corrupt mofos.
