Needs to stop playing with so many defensive players against weak opposition I'm furious after tonights performance that last sub was so pointless if you've Del Piero on the bench with 5mins left and your trying to get a goal put him on not a fucking defender!

Issues.

1) 3-5-2. We don't have appropriate wingbacks, I think that should have been demonstrated enough vs Milan, with Estigarribia being ineffective and Cáceres not demonstrating good defensive skills. Lichtsteiner doesn't perform to the same standard in this formation either (which is vital for one of our best players of the season), there isn't the attacking threat he has in a 4-3-3 where he could link up with Pepe. I actually understood the reason to try and stop Maggio when we played Napoli, but we were up against Modesto and Biabiany tonight. And 3 man defenses suck.

2) Number of technical players starting games. As a result of playing with fullbacks that don't function in the 3-5-2, we're seeing players like Giaccherini start games on the bench after he continually puts in good performances in the Coppa, yet Estigarribia remains in the team after putting in poor performances in the same competition. When Giaccherini does come on he isn't used in the same role as when he thrives in the Coppa either. That doesn't make sense to me.

3) General intensity displayed by the team is now a shadow of what it once was. We used to pile pressure on teams that sat back and went defensive, I remember the Genoa and Fiorentina games earlier this season, and now there is a struggle to make passes and the movement of players isn't nearly as good. It used to be okay because we'd create so many chances that there was bound to be a goal. I'm not sure if this is arrogance.

Like i posted in the LIVE thread.... the Marchi - Vidal duo hasnt been working well in the last 2-3 games...... We played so much better when Giacc started as a CM. Conte keeps saying that he will only play the most prepared, in-form players and yet he left Giacc out tonight. We have to admit it, Marchi and Vidal are out of form so one of them needs to be benched and Giacc brought in. And as for this 3-5-2....it is more 5-3-2 and it is suicide to play it against "weaker" teams. I am frustrated, i need to calm down....

This is a turbulent period in every season for every manager.....its the "beggining of the end of the season" where every single point is important, where everything is slowly starting to get resolved.... It is now that Conte needs to show what he is made of. It is now that he needs to show whether all of the success so far has been luck or is he for real.......If he is what we all think he is, he will take some drastic measures in the following games and bench certain players and start certain others. That will be a sign for me whether Conte is "ready" or not for the big stage.....
