Well now that half the season is over..

I'd like to see more of DP , Quag, and Elia after the Winter break

Good formation in regards to defending, but even so I would have has De Cegie instead of Esti.
Esti looked poor and was poor going forward. Pepe can't be a SS , Quag should have started

He did well to neutralize Udinese, but if we're going to play with a lone forward (which I don't really agree with) then Quag should play. And he really should've made those forward substitutions earlier.

Okay we took some points away at Udine, the first team to do so. But Conte's tactics showed too much respect for Udinese, fear even.
It wasn't about fear. it was knowing that they are the hardest team to score against in their house. we had many chances. in the end you take the maximum points you can without hurting your season

Great today, he was just let down by the quality of our attack. Matri a huge disappointment. The only thing I can blame him for is for putting up with this bad Matri for so long, but this is his philosophy. He sticks with his players and it often works so I can' t blame him.

Matri hasn't been bad for so long he's scored enough goals. He needs not to be isolated in these crappy formations although he was particularly bad today.

To "neutralise" Udinese...AKA playing for a draw.
Yeah let's bench one of our best players this season :sergio:

Our Tactics today were spot on, We got a great result from the most difficult staduim in the whole Italy.

Everyone is saying that Udinese were shit today and we could've one if Conte risked more or " has more balls", But it's Conte's setup who made Udinese look like shit with crowding the MF and neutralising their WB who are there most dangerous weapons, If Marchisio or Matri sinked one of those occasions we got, you would be singing another tune right now.

Can't blame him for anything today.

Tactics were great. If we had some more quality on the creative side we would've won. But we don't, so there's no need to cry about it.

Capello would've used pretty much the same tactics in 2005 and won this game due to an amount of quality players that Conte simply doesn't have.

+ Friggin rape.

Marchisio, Matri and Lichtsteiner could have finished the match for us.

Where did I say in my post that we needed to bench Pepe you nong? I just dont EVER wanna see him playing again in some shit ass quasi SS in that 3-5-2. Wow we neutralised Udinese, as if we are playing Barcelona or Real Madrid.

I really don't see how Pepe would have done a better job than Quag or Del Piero in that role especially considering he's not even a striker. We definitely could have had all three points without compromising the game plan by fielding at least one technical forward. We had a few half chances all game that hindsight talk is the talk of a loser. If you want to be number one in the league you play to win against whoever, wherever.

We did play to win from the offset, but football matches are dynamic. Game plans and tactics change during the match.

We aren't Barcelona or Real Madrid either, we have our short comings too, I thought Conte today was very aware that Udinese is very dangerous in Counter attacking situations, and who knwos if we decided to play an open game with them that we wouldn't lose 3-0 or something like that.
I thought the formation and the Tactics were good ruined by some sloppy plays from some of our players and that's bound to happen every once or while. ( Matri/Pepe/Vidal.. were missing some easy passes) and you can't blame the manager for that.

You said that Udinese isn't Barca or RM, but you must remeber that we aren't also that team, you can't expect us to win every game especially away and the most important thing that we don't have the player with WC quality that could win us the game even if it's tough like this. :D
