I've been waiting for us to go down to a big team and yesterday a 0-2 questions were being raised about hwo Conte would handle it.

In any case, it is hard as hell for a team to come back at Napoli and play our own game versus accomodating to their style.

We did our own thing. I like that, I miss that about the old Juve pre 2006. We are back to taking the game to other teams rather than bending over an reacting. Now its time for other teams to be forced to react to us.

I don't give a fuck about -rep, I just don't like them anonymous. If you don't like what I say that's fine, but don't write things like 'fuck off' and don't say from who it is...that's called being a pussy.
Well if you're this upset, it must mean that you give at least a bit of fuck about them. Chill.

Belive me, when i'll get upset, you'll be the first one to know.

Btw, I love the fact that I caught you in the balls. It's funny how you must respond to each and every one of my posts

Dude, if you wanna get back at me for something I said, looking like my bitch is definitely not the way to go

Hero, for what he's done to the team. Brilliant in keeping faith with his team and not changing the team around in the second half. Went up a few more notches in my esteem last night. Coaching moment of the year.

Besides his somewhat over the top sideline antics, the only thing I dont like is the few minutes for DP. It\s hard to find a middleground there though and not sure last night was the best game for DP to give a contribution, it being a very physical and high paced game.
Agreed there Dom. I really thought he would make a few subs at HT but he stuck to his guns and put his faith in the group he chose. The players on the field that day would really feel the manager's faith and its a great feeling imo.

He is also developing his tactical work ( the napoli game could not have been tactically imo) but you can he is realizing that every opponent is different, so he puts out a team that could beat it. And thats another point, he always tries to beat his opponents when in the past few years our managers were less outgoing.

The antics will settle down. The Alex situation is tough. He wants the man to step on these great grounds and play these big matches but most times he wouldn't be able to give much of a contribution especially with our system. Against Napoli it was a bad sub anyway, could've at least given him more minutes. And like you said there is no middle ground and its a tough situation.

It seems as though Conte is very reluctant to field players who are unwilling or unable to participate in his game plan of harassing for possession for the whole 90 minutes. One of the defining characteristics of our team is that every player is constantly challenging for the ball, with the exception of maybe Pirlo, who is there to pull all the strings once we have it. Even a player like Vucinic, who has somewhat of a reputation for being lazy, is doing his fair share in this respect.

So it only makes sense that a player like Giaccherini gets the nod over Elia, and Del Piero can barely get any playing time. Perhaps it even explains why Vucinic is favoured over Quagliarella. Injury problems aside, maybe Quag just isn't as effective when it comes to doing the dirty work?

I think Quag will get more minutes in the coming weeks because from the few appearances he had, he showed a good level of intensity. Once hes completely fit with a few games under his belt I think we will see more of him. Also the thing that plays in his favor is that he could replace both Vuci and Matri.

I'm glad that Conte uses more than just one tactic. We aren't so predictable for the opponents and in case of absences of the key players for one formation we can switch to the other painlessly

You just gave the answers to all the questions that some people have. Its not so much about the quality of the player but whether he is able to perform the duties that his coach asks him to. We all act like we know the team better than our coach who is 24/7 with the players, sees them every day playing, running and what not. Yes, coaches make mistakes sometimes, but you can only say this when the team that they manage plays bad, and is not in a good position. But when you are undefeated in 11 games, had spectacular performances against teams such as :inter: , Milan, Palermo ect, you can pretty much say that the coach is 100% right in all that he is doing...
