Carlo Pignatelli gets back to his love for football and for the team of his town, Juventus FC, by signing its 2011/12 official uniforms as official supplier. As a matter of facts 15 years ago the designer has been the first to experiment the lucky union between fashion and football. The partnership between the team today coached by Antonio Conte and the elegance of Carlo Pignatelli runs along many years with great successes: from 1995 to 1998, from 2000 to 2002 and from 2003 to 2006 the team won one Intercontinental Cup, one Champions League, one European Super Cup, five Italian Championships and two Super Cups wearing the suits signed by the “maison” from Turin. The new Juventus formal uniform – composed by suit, coat and raincoat, in a sophisticated midnight blue – is inspired by English colleges outfits: the tapered trousers with turn-up and the jacket with tight revers embody on the one hand the British style, on the other hand the Italian tailoring. The coat with inside anticold waistcoat and the waterproof single-breasted trench complete the look, together with the Derby shoes in calf leather with insulating rubber soled.
