I wish I was as optimistic as you lool...but ever since we came back from Serie B I was optimistic almost every season and got disappointed everytime...Right now I'm simply hoping for the best and kind of expect the worse (no CL).
I and everybody on this forum feels the same way. Every season has been so disappointing! But Conte will change your mind, i just know it!

Conte was a genius in midfield, he understands football and cares about Juve a great deal. Let's hope for the best.
Conte was hardly a genius in midfield, the man was decent/good midfielder that's about it.

And him being a former Juve player means pretty much nothing ( fererra was a former Juve player) and his experience here as a coach was a nightmare.

Conte was a very good player for us, when he didn't play we missed him. Not just because of his ability but his leadership.

I agree about the former player comment, but just because Ferrara failed does not mean Conte will. They have very different personalities, Ferrara seems to be a friend of everyone whereas I don't think Conte will think twice about going nuts at the squad if we lose.

Who knows if he will be a good manger for us? but I wouldn't write him off yet.

That's your opinion, and I respect it. But I bet everyone who watched him captain our team to glory disagrees with you.

So much passion.

Not saying that he will fail here, but being a former Juve player doesn't gurantee that he'll be a success here neither.

Anyone that have Watched Conte back then would agree that he was a decent/good player but a genius ? Faar from it really unless you're a biased.

There is a reason he was captain.
Leadership qualities yes, but a football genius Ala del piero, zidane, nedved even davids he's not.

only-juve, do you remember his role in midfield ? enlighten me with your knowledge.
CM in the team, pretty much Marchisio's role nowadays but with different formation. Scored few goals every now and then and worked his ass for the team i give him that, but so did almost all Our Former players.

Football fans tend to overrate their former players alot, specially if they were their former Captains or played during a great era for the club. Conte wasn't even consistently called for the Italian National team during the mid-90's and early 2000 back then. There was a time when players like Dino Baggio (who i don't really rate that much either) was prefered over him for the NT.

I respect Conte as a former Juve player just as much as i respect Ferrara who even when the team was playing like shit during his time as a coach here i did not insult the guy not even once. But the fact is Conte as a "player" was nothing special.
