Wow, he made an aggressive sub and we got another goal. Now we can rest players in Turkey. For once he did something right in Europe.

We were very open and attacking for most of the second half. Just because we sucked up pressure when TS got the ball doesn't make a defensive performance, it's been clear for a long time that we see the counter attack as a major weapon against teams who like to try quick attacks, it's not Conte's fault we wasted 5-6 chances to score a second.

Open and hoofing the ball is what you meant to say, right?

Hoofing? I must have watched a different game. We hit a few long balls but mostly went into diagonal areas to Isla and Pogba in particular, or to feet with Tevez. Hitting a long ball now and again isn't a problem.

Actually looking at the stats Trabzonspor had more long passes, and Bayern hit more long balls than us vs Arsenal.

Good. Lets attack the coach who took us over from 2 straight 7th place seasons and won 2 (3rd coming) scudettos and 2 super coppas. lets get back ranieri, he knew how to play in europe.... Conte, like every coach, needs time to build his team like he wants because i know if he gets the players he wants we will be top4 in Europe next season...

Tbh there's nothing Conte can do about Ogbonna misplacing 15 passes in a row then making a blunded, or Peluso doing about 3% of his job right.

His change to 4-3-3 and the resulting 2nd goal made me happy

Although I dislike the way we chose to play counter attacking football against teams who we should be steam-rolling over

It would be much more acceptable if we have some specialists at counter attacking, but we lack the directness, pace and skill to execute them regularly. So we're not even playing to our strengths.

Conte did well to utilize the depth of the squad while still securing this victory. Tevez could've easily scored twice and Conte risked it at the end to get the two goal cushion. Well done.

To be fair tonight we had three players who work well as counter-attacking players; Pogba, Tevez and Isla. You can make half a case for Osvaldo as well. Ok Isla is not great but it suits his game best, and he had a lot of space in the first half doing that.

We can blame him for a lot of things but it's not his fault the players fucked up all those chances, we could have been 4-0 up in first half.
