I hope that he is right. Seriously, we can't get it wrong this time because our next season will probably define our next 5-6 years. If we manage to finish 3rd or better, our future will be fine but nothing short of that will be a disaster.
Very true. We must qualify to the CL next year. There's no other way to sign world class players other than playing for the CL.

This is the first time Moggi is with a coach we are moving for. He was against Ranieri, Ciro and Del Neri.

Says something.
I wouldn't be so quick to assume that Moggi has it right. I thought all 3 prior choices were horrible candidates/coaches but that didn't really make any difference. Conte's track record as a coach is nothing spectacular or special

If this guy didn't have a history of playing with us, he would probably never be linked with a move to us in the first place. I don't buy this shit that he knows what Juventus means and represents. Ferrara did as well, and look how that ended.

But think about it, from the management's point of view, he fits perfectly. He won't stand up to Marotta on which players he needs to fit his formation, the fans love him because of his excellent history with the club and when the team starts failing again they can easily put all the blame on him. This is not the first time it happened with this club in the recent years.

What the fuck? Ferrara wasn't a nice guy on the field either, one of the most feared defenders in Italy.
he did not have a reputation as a rugged, overly spirited monster...like montero did for example...or that nazi kohler, players who seriously scared the opposition due to not just their tenacity, but also their enjoyment of hurting people. He was not feared for anything other than his quality as a defender. Showed leadership as he got older, but at worst, he seemed intelligent, a cultured thug of the cannavaro lineage. but not feared in the way you assert, and he did always seem like a nice guy. As a manager he seemed weak from the beginning, perhaps overawed by the huge responsibility and lacking the experience to deal with it (as a manager). He seemed lacking passion, almost studious...i often imagined him with his head stuck in a book, in a quiet corner in the library.

how old are you????ciro petered out as a player soon after 2000...i just wonder how many people here are old enough to have seen him play in the glory days of his career, and how many have simply read of his exploits, and some of our other former champions...
