to replace Birindelli/Zebina as Grygera's backup?

Don't have a link though. Don't know if he's good or not but he's young, tall and free. :D Let's cash in on Zebina, thank Birindelli for what he's done and use Raggi as Grygera's backup.

Was that mentioned in TV or did u read it somewhere?
    sounds interesting
I read about it on another site, it was reported on Italian TV. They throw out rumors all day so he's just another name to add in the books.

He's just been called up for the Italian U21s:

Empoli defender Andrea Raggi is the only new face in Pierluigi Casiraghi’s Under-21 squad for next week’s friendly against England.

The tie will take place on March 24 at Wembley Stadium when the two sides will play the first game in the arena since its £760m facelift.

The squad is scheduled to meet up on Tuesday evening at La Borghesiana in Rome and will leave for England on March 22.

All 60,000 tickets available for the friendly were sold out almost immediately and the Coach has called up 21 players for Italy’s last test before the U-21 European Championships in the Netherlands this summer.

The Finals will be held between June 10 to 23 and the five-time champions will face England, Serbia and the Czech Republic in Group B.

Andrea Raggi, why not? First of all, he is far better than both Zebina and Brindelli. He is young, strong, consistent and fast. Besides, he isn't that type of defenders who can be easily fooled.

However, I haven't watched him attacking a lot to give a fair opinion about his crosses.

Out of Grygera, Raggi and Zebina, I trust the latter the most for our RB position. Grygera (and Raggi) will have to prove themselves worthy as starters first - they're not getting anything for free.
